Author's note: Hey guys I've thought up of another one-shot, I love Kovu and Kiara they are so cute! I wish they would make another one with them having a cub and continuing with Circle of Life. O well, anyways, enjoy! I do not own Lion King
Its nighttime at Priderock, its about a year after the outlanders and pridelanders joined together. It also was around the same time that Kovu and Kiara became king and queen. Also having a cub, a little princess named Taylor a few months later. Taylor, is seen crouched low behind one of the lionesses to avoid being seen, as it is her bedtime, but was refusing to go to sleep. "Taylor, where are you sweetheart?" Kiara called out, she looked around for her. Vitani, who could see Taylor, got Kiara's attention, and pointed towards one of the lionesses. Seeing what she meant, she started to creep quietly towards her. Kovu also noticed this, shook his head at her and got Taylor. Taylor didn't even notice her father coming behind her until she felt someone pull her up by the scruff of her neck. "Daddy, I don't want to go to bed yet I'm not even tired." the young cub said on a yawn. "Yes, you are." her mother chuckled. "okay." she sighed, and curled up into a ball on the floor.
Later on that night….
It was raining heavily outside, it was also thundering and lightning outside. On a particularly loud clap of thunder, Taylor woke up "huh…?" Another loud clap of thunder was heard. Taylor started to whimper at the sound. Another one sounded, and Taylor was frightened. After hearing more thunder, she walked over to her father who was sleeping. "Daddy?" Taylor said, prodding her father's nose, nothing. She tried again, "daddy?" This time Kovu stirred slightly, "Hmmm..?" "Taylor, what's wrong?" Another clap of thunder was sounded. "Daddy, I'm scared, can I sleep with you?" Kovu smiled at his daughter before moving his paws, allowing room for her to sleep by him. "Shh, its okay Taylor, its just thunder, it won't hurt you." he said. "I know, but its still scary." Taylor cuddles into her fathers' mane. "Hey." her father said playfully. "You're messing up my mane." Taylor giggled "Sorry daddy, but your fur is comfy." While saying this, she yawned. Kovu chuckled. "Come on Taylor, its time to go to bed now." "Okay, good night daddy." "Good night Taylor."
