I stared her in the eye. This moment, it had to be perfect. Have it be anything but, I'd regret it for the rest of my life.
This was our first date. I've longed to ask her for a while, but being a part of Fairytail is time consuming. I've loved her since she first joined Fairytail. Or that's when I admitted to myself.
I know she loves me back. Why is this so hard? There's a lump in my throat that won't go down. Why is it so hard to exrpess my feelings?
I keep my focus on her eyes, deeper and deeper. Her eyes, shade of dark blue, they're beautiful. I had to find a way to tell her.
I grabbed her gently at both arms. I closed my eyes as I leaned in, until my lips reached hers. I felt her, shocked at first, but after a couple seconds began to relax. Her hands looped around my neck, and she pulled me in closer. I slipped my hands down to her waist, no further. I wanted her to be comfortable. I wanted this moment to be perfect.
What was only a bit less than a minute felt like it could last forever. Our lips fell apart, but we stayed close, as our foreheads touched. Neither of us opened our eyes.
Softly, lovingly, I whispered in her ear " I love you, Juvia"
"I love you, Gray."
