So because it's been brought to my attention we are not supposed to have "you based" stories, I'm just going to have to put a name in here, I'm sorry. I don't want it taken down or anything. Seriously, though, why are there people on this site who make it their live's goal to attack my stories.
I'm in this adorable little bookstore. Books are crammed on the shelves and every book anyone could want is there. I've been looking for this one book for hours, and this is officially the last book store I'm trying. Suddenly, I see it, stuck between a paperback romance novel with a shirtless man on it and a book of Chaucer's poems. I reach for it, but another hand reaches out at the same time. I snatch my hand back at the same time as the other person. I look over and oh my god, I'm faced with one of the most attractive faces I've ever seen. He smiles at me as he picks up the book, and goes to the counter. Well, that's disappointed. That's just like me, to let some guy take the book I've been looking for all day. I sigh and dejectedly go for the door. Just as I'm about to walk out, the guy jogs up to me and says, "Wait. Here, you can have it. I bought it for you."
Sweet Jesus, what? I smile shyly at him, and mutter, "Thank you… but you can keep it if you want." He shakes his head and presses the book towards me, into my hands.
"I insist. I'm sure I can find it somewhere else," he smiles sweetly at me and I try not to break into a huge smile at what is basically a male god smiling at me. He then opens the door for me and follows me out.
"Actually, you can't. I've been looking for hours. It's out of print," I somehow manage to inform him. He smirks.
"Oh, well, you'll just have to let me borrow it, won't you?" with that last sentence, he walks away. I'm left feeling confused until I get home and open my book to find, "This is the only copy I can find. You'll have to let me borrow this from you so we can talk about it. Call me, 555-2211 – Dan."
