HELLO! I could not sleep last night so i decided to write a fanfic. Just a little finchel oneshot. ENJOY :D
It had been two months since her trip to New York. Two months since Finn had put her on that train. She was still hurting from that goodbye. But now she has to say goodbye to him yet again.
She was in her room, sorting through the last few things that she was going to take to New York with her, when the doorbell rang. Rachel ignored it. She was sorting through some photo albums, when she heard a light tapping on her door. 'Yeah, come in.' she said, still staring down at the photo albums on her bed. Rachel heard the door open and she looked up at the person in front of her and she couldn't believe what she saw. Finn, her Finn, his beautiful hair crew cropped and wearing a dark green army uniform.
'Hey Rachel.' Finn said shyly. Rachel got up and stared at him, before he pulled her into a hug. It felt so right being in his arms again. She had missed it. 'What are you doing here?' She murmered into his shoulder. 'I leave today. I thought I should say goodbye.' Tears started rolling silently down Rachel's face. 'Please don't cry Rach, this is hard enough as it is.' She looked up at him and started to yell. 'HARD! I'LL TELL YOU WHAT'S HARD! THINKING YOU'RE GOING TO GET MARRIED. AND BEING TOLD THAT YOU ARE GOING TO NEW YORK BY YOURSELF WITHOUT THE ONE PERSON THAT YOU NEED THERE! AND THEN WHEN YOU COME BACK, THEY IGNORE YOU COMPLETLY UNTIL THEY SHOW UP ON YOUR DOORSTEP SAYING THEY ARE LEAVING TO JOIN THE ARMY!' Her sobs were getting louder and she was overcome with sadness. 'I did that for you!' Finn exclaimed. 'But you didn't have to break my heart in the process.'
Finn leaned over and kissed her gently. 'I'm sorry I have to go.' He hugged her as she cried into his shoulder. He pulled away from the hug and looked at his watch. 'I'm so so sorry Rachel, but I have to go now.' The look in her eyes was enough to make him tear up. 'Please. No. Can't you stay longer?' Rachel pleaded. Finn really was crying now. 'I have to go.' He looked at the floor and saw Rachel playing with something on her finger. His ring 'You're still wearing my ring.' Finn said, through his tears. 'I don't want to take it off. Just in case.' He picked her up and kissed her one last time before placing her back on the floor. He whispered 'I love you' in her ear. She could barley speak the 'I love you too.' He walked towards the door. 'Goodbye Rachel.' He said, tears streaming down his face. He walked from the room and closed the door. She watched him leave from her window and waved him goodbye, still crying. And he was gone.
She went back to her photo albums, that were still strewn across her bed. She saw her senior year prom picture. They both looked so happy. Everything had seemed so simple. But it had turned out the opposite. Rachel kissed the picture and lay all the photo albums to one side. 'Goodbye Finn.' She said.
