At some point there had been slapping, punching, kicking, hitting. Needles poking.
Blood and tears. Sweat and vomit. Screams and silence. No water, no food, no light.
How many days? Weeks?
More slapping, punching, kicking, hitting. Numb and broken. Sick and alone.
Trapped in a world that wasn't hers. Scared wasn't even the right word.
Terrified, maybe. Even more so than that. On the verge of losing it completely.
Breathe in, breathe out. And think of him. That's all she could do.
