5 years before BBS
Liam was a resident of the world of The Radiant Garden. He mostly hung out around the castle during the day. He was quite bored because there was no one else his age. He was 9. The other two children he knew were Lea and Isa but they were 5 years younger than he was. He wanted to go somewhere else.
One day by Merlin's house he leaned up against the wall. "I'm so bored," Liam exclaimed. "Are you looking for something to do?" a voice asked him. "Wha, me?" he replied. "Yes you, my name is Jonathan and I sense that you have the ability to do something great with your life," Jonathan told him summoning his keyblade and offering the handle to Liam. "In your hand, take this Key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking, its wielder you shall one day be. And you will find me, friend—no ocean will contain you then. No more borders around, or below, or above, so long as you champion the ones you love." Jonathan dismissed his keyblade. "When you are ready I will return," Jonathan said.
"Ok, Thank you Mister Jonathan," Liam replied only to find that Jonathan was not there. "Liam come in, it's dinner time," Liam's mom called. "I'm Coming Mom!" Liam called back forgetting about what had happened seconds earlier.
