Everything went dark. Albus pulled in his arms and he saw people appearing and disappearing from view. Finally, he hit a floor and fell out. Albus was Flourish and Blotts. He waited for a bit, until finally his mom, and his dad came out of the fireplace.

"How was the trip?" asked James.

"It made me dizzy," replied Albus.

Albus looked down at his school list.

UNIFORM

First-year students will require:
1. Three sets of plain robes (black)
2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)

Albus read the list over again. He was definitely going to get an owl.

"Mom, dad, can we go get me an owl?" asked Albus.

"Sure," replied Ginny

They arrived at the apothecary. Albus picked out a large snowy owl, and named her Hedwig. They went back to Flourish and Blotts and got his required school books. They even ran into the Malfoys. Harry told him to stay away from Scorpius. Albus was looking through his books and waited while Harry and Ginny bought James's books. Then they left and got Albus's cauldron, scales, telescope, and they also got him some crystal phials. Then they went to Ollivander's.

"Ah, Mr. and Mrs. Potter, how are you?" called out Ollivander.

"We are getting a wand today for Albus," replied Harry.

"Ah, yes."
Ollivander took out a tape measure that started measuring his arms, his hand, his fingers and even his shoulders. At last, Ollivander brought out a wand. Albus took it. His hand immediately became warm. The tip of the wand glowed and Ollivander said "Dogwood, 9 and 3/4 inches, dragon heart string, slightly bendy. This is an excellent wand for charms work." They paid and they left the shop. They went back to Flourish and Blotts and took the Floo Powder back home.
