Ok, so the best Christmas ever started right after the winter solstice. Annabeth, Malcolm, and the other Athena campers were throwing a huge Christmas Party in their cabin. I was really surprised because it's against camp rules to throw parties in a cabin, and all the Athena campers were goody-goodies. So, here's how it starts:
I was walking through the pony stables, when Annabeth appears running toward me.
"Hey, Percy! We're having a Christmas party in our cabin, and I was wondering if you can come."
Before I could even get a chance to answer she said, "Good. See ya tonight at 8."
At 8:00? I barely even have clean clothes! oh my gods! what am I going to do?
I ran to my cabin and looked through my clothes. The only clothes I had was two clean Camp T-shirts, and 3 tattered pairs of jeans. I decided I was going in my regular camp clothes. I set my alarm clock for 8:00, and lay on my bed and dozed off.
I woke to the sound of my alarm clock ringing. I woke up instantly. I put on my shirt and jeans and ran my fingers through my hair. Then, I took off toward the Athena cabin. I stopped at the door. I could hear pop music blowing inside. I knocked and Annabeth opened the door. She was wearing a bright red shirt and a red and green skirt. She looked great. "HEY PERCY!" she yelled trying to be heard over the loud music.
Annabeth grabbed my hand and led in the Athena cabin. The campers had set up a plastic table with punch, Christmas cookies, pizza, and ambrosia, and nectar. Annabeth's half-sister, Emily, was in charge of the food and drinks. Annabeth suddenly stopped under a spot.
"I'M THIRSTY!" she yelled.
"I'LL GET YOU SOME PUNCH!" I walked over to the punch.
Emily lowered the volume on the speakers. "So, you here with Annabeth?"
"Yeah."
"Cool. Annabeth looks awesome with that skirt."
"I never thought about it," I stuttered.
Emily laughed. "She bought that skirt just for you."
"S-so can I have that punch now?"
She laughed again. "Here." she handed me a punch.
I handed the punch back to Annabeth. She took a sip, then threw away the cup. She took me to a new spot.
I almost forgot Annabeth's Christmas present. I took it out of my pocket, and hid it behind my back.
"I have something for you." I handed Annabeth the little bag. She tugged on the string and took out her present. It was a new pair of silver owl earrings.
Annabeth squeeled, then hugged me tight. I was probably blushing.
Annabeth let go of me, then put a small box in my hand. I opened the box. It was a conch shell.
"Here let me put on you necklace." Annabeth went behind me. She untied my necklace, then stringed the conch shell on it.
"Thanks."
"No problem."
Malcolm was in the DJ spot. "Everyone, grab a partner. We're gonna slow down a little." The song changed to a slow song.
He winked at me and Annabeth.
Annabeth grabbed my hand and I put one hand on her waist. We started dancing. The song ended.
Annabeth pointed up. There was mistle-toe. Annabeth closed her eyes and started leaning in, inching closer to my face. I closed my eyes and found myself leaning in too. Our lips met. Annabeth pulled away. Her face was as red as a beet. I bet mine was even redder that that. "So, see ya tomorrow."
"Yeah."
I ran out of the cabin embarrased.
And that made the best Christmas kiss under the mistle-toe ever.
