A long arm wraps around his small, cloaked shoulders
The sudden touch startling him, making him gasp
A large, mischievous grin fills the taller teen's pointed features
Angular face giving off a different kind of beauty than the short boy's rounded, youthful one
The younger boy pouts slightly, giving his friend a playful shove
Scolding the redhead for sneaking up on him again
A deep, warm chuckle comes from beside him
And he frowns at his friend's laughter
Shocked to receive a small peck of lips on his cheek
Face heating up
Turning a deeper shade of red
Than his friend's vibrant hair
Another chuckle from his elder
He looks down and smiles softly to himself
Thinking just how much
He missed hearing that laugh
How long had it been?
Since they last met
Walking casually through the alleyways
Of Twilight Town
In the shadows
So they would not be spotted
And their time together
Would remain their secret?
A large hand ruffles his hair
And the younger cannot resist smiling
"I missed you, Axel."
He whispers shyly
"I missed you too, Roxas."
The warm reply is spoken softly enough
That the younger knew
He was being honest
And sincere
The reason why he loved him.
They climb the stairs of the station's clock tower
Roxas nearly tripping
Blushing as he is caught
In warm arms
And steadied again
When they sit together
On the ledge of the tower
A tentative hand reaches over
And rests on that of his friend
As they watch the sunset
And eat ice cream
Axel turns to him with a grin
"Hey Roxas,"
He says, voice almost a purr
"I bet you don't know why the sun sets red."
Roxas simply rolls his eyes at the cheesy line
He'd heard countless times before
Turning back to the redhead with a cute smile
As he says in a voice so sweet
You could tell he was annoyed
"Axel?"
"Yes?"
"Shut up."
