Date at a school dance

Note:This story was originally typed before any of the fanfics that were submitted before it. Summary: Cindy walks towards her house after school but Jimmy stops her and asks her to come with him to the dance. Warning: Jimmy and Cindy might be ooc.

NOTE: Cindy and Jimmy have been good friends since Freshmen year. But now they are coming to terms to start dating each other.

As the blond 17 year old walked down the sidewalk towards her home, she heard someone shout her name. "Cindy", Jimmy shouted as he was sprinting towards her. But then tripped over his own shoes as he sprinted, causing him to stumble and fall over, skidding to halt to Cindy's feet.

"Hi", Jimmy said, looking up while still on the ground, weakly smiling at Cindy. "Are you ok, Neutron", Cindy asked as she helped Jimmy up from the sidewalk. "Thanks", Jimmy said, responding to Cindy helping him up. "What do you want, Jimmy", Cindy asked. "Well, the dance is two days from now and I was wondering if you would like to come me on Friday", Jimmy asked, a little nervous of what Cindy's response would be. " Sure, Nerdtron, I'll come to the dance with you on one condition: you have to treat me like an equal", Cindy said before resuming her walk towards her house.

Jimmy was baffled. He stood there thinking about Cindy meant but he decided not to wonder any longer. He suddenly remembered something else to ask her. "Wait, Cindy……", Jimmy said. Cindy turned towards Jimmy's direction again. As she did so, she walked up to him until she was inches away from his face. "What, Jimmy", Cindy asked. "I forgot to ask…., that um…, after the dance would you like to go to the park with me", Jimmy fumbled with his words.

"Okay, Neutron. But what time should we meet", Cindy asked. "7:00", Jimmy said. Cindy leaned in to Jimmy's right ear. "Okay, sounds like a plan, James", Cindy said, teasingly. As Cindy pulled away from his ear, she quickly gave Jimmy a peck on the cheek. Cindy giggled in victory as she walked back to her house, knowing she had baffled the teen genius. Jimmy was red in the face. The feeling he was experiencing was love and excitement. Jimmy ran towards his house and ran right through the opened door and sprinted up the stairs, towards his room. Jimmy jumped on his bed, the moment he entered his room, and flopped down his bed. Jimmy couldn't believe that Cynthia Aurora Vortex said 'yes' to James Isaac Neutron, agreeing to come with him to the school dance. Jimmy knew that Cindy had the same feelings as he did for her. Once Jimmy settled in, he slept with a huge smile on his face.
