They sit on the blanket under the falling cherry blossom petals together. In the corner of the blanket was their wicker basket with their lunch inside. Lili stares up at the trees, and Kiku watches her.
"It's like snow Kiku!"
She reaches out to catch some petals and doesn't notice the faint blush on his face. He's not used to hearing her say his name like that. A petal falls in her hair and he carefully picks it out. She smiles at him. It seems to him that this should be her natural habitat. Surrounded by flowers, with the scent of fresh blooms and the laughter of children around her. Her eyes reflecting the sun light, they shine like a cloudless day. She's peace, calm and serenity.
"What are you staring at Kiku?" There is a tiny hint of humor in her voice.
But he can't tell her any of these things. So he apologizes and she assures him it's alright, she was just curious.
A small ball bounces onto their blanket and a small child comes for it. Kiku gets up and picks up the ball. The small boys mother is coming and when she finally finds her son, she apologizes for the interruption.
Lili watches him. He's very kind to children, though a bit awkward with their parents. He sits back down next to her and apologizes for leaving her. He's apologized more than her in their relationship for things that didn't need them at all. She finds it enduring rather than taxing. She looks into his eyes, deep and endless like the night sky, a sky of endless possibilities and mystery. In his own country he's much happier, in his posture and demeanor. She can almost see him smile as he looks around him, peaceful in a way a nation can only be in their homelands.
Like a hardy flowering tree in winter, laden with snow, because she knows that like the tree, when Kiku is in spring, he's breath taking. Here in his place, he's so much more himself.
He's bloomed.
It was his turn to asked he what she was looking so intently at, she blushes and stutters and promises it was nothing.
They don't have the words yet, to fully explain how wonderful they find the other. Like the trees around them, they know they'll be a time when things will fall into place. The rhythm of life and love. It's part of the natural course of their relationship that one day they'll be able to say all the thoughts that they are too shy to say in this moment.
For now they settle on watching cherry blossoms fall, shyly touching hands and trying not to get caught staring at each other from the corners of their eyes.

I want anything fluffy, with Liechtenstein and Japan. I prefer Lili for her name, but if Anon prefers another name that's perfectly wonderful too :3 Can't believe I'm doing this omg I'm so jelly
Bonus points if Switzerland disapproves of Japan.
Didn't get the bonus in but I hope this was fluffy enough!
