"It wasn't my fault, I didn't do anything wrong," Kenji said.
Kaoru crossed her arms, glaring down at her son, "you destroyed the dojo."
"He started it," Kenji said, "I was just trying to defend myself."
"Just go to your room," Kaoru walked out, slamming the door closed behind her.
Kenji glared at the door a moment before going to his room. That guy had every intention of getting him into trouble. He was one of the students at his mom's dojo, there was no way he could be defeated that easily.
Kenji lay down still fuming. He would get revenge on that bastard. It was the only thing he could think to do, but how could he do it?
He fell asleep that night still plotting his revenge.
The next morning he was in the dojo again. He walked up to Mike smiling, "how are you doing?" he asked, still fuming inside.
"I'm glad your not upset about yesterday," Mike said.
"Actually," Kenji drew closer, whispering now, "I am."
Mike didn't have time to react as the dagger pierced him. Kenji watched the blood spill out onto his hand. He could even smell it. Amongst the widespread panic and screaming he withdrew the dagger and watched Mike fall to his knees, eyes rolling into the back of his head.
Kenji took a step back, all fury lost, replaced with horror. He looked around at the panicking students.
"What did you do?' his mother bent down beside the fallen boy before turning back to her son, "what did you do to him?" she shouted again, "I didn't raise a killer."
He took a step back, looking around, somebody lunged at him, sending him flying into the wall. He sat up bleeding in several places, but it didn't hurt him. Although his body wasn't numb, the pain was dull.
The other boy lunged again. Kenji raised his arms to block and it worked, the boy flipped and landed on his back. Kenji leaned forward and jerked the mask off.
It was then he felt cold all over and sat up, looking around. Several student stood around him a few off to the side. His parents and uncles were standing over him.
"What happened?' he asked, looking around. He spotted Mike on the ground, dripping blood from several wounds. He stood up, almost panicking before he realized that he too had wounds, and this time they hurt. Dizzy he sat back down.
"You and Mike got into a fight," Kenshin said, "Shoji tried to break it up." Kenji looked over at Shoji, who was lying a foot from Mike, both of them were already getting to their feet.
Kenji let out a sight of relief, "you didn't fix the wall yet?" he asked.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Kaoru asked, "It was just broken."
"It was broke yesterday, and you shouted at me, told me to go to my room."
"I did no such thing," Kaoru said, "it got broke when you and Mike lunged at each other, Shoji stepped in, using his dad's technique. You tried to stop your attack, and ended up getting hit with both of the others."
"So, today's Monday right?' Kenji asked. Several people nodded.
Kenji came to the conclusion than, a dream from being knocked out. That was it.
Kenji didn't like his father that much, but figured he was good to go to for advice. He sat down and explained the entire story.
"I killed him in my dream," he said, desperately.
"your feelings were mixed in the dream, you were angry Mike started the fight and angry about Shoji interrupting it, but all of it led to Mike attacking you, and so you hurt him in your dream."
Kenji opened his mouth, but Kenshin continued, "It's normal to have dreams like that when your dealing with extreme emotions, especially anger."
Kenji felt reassured, but promised himself that he would try to never get that angry again
