Here's the rest of the summary:
Four months ago, something happened that came to change Bella's life forever. She is an outcast, disliked by everyone, and understood by only her twin sister. To keep her sister and herself safe, they are sent to a boarding school for Bella's safety. There, she is disliked by most people, but everyone loves her sister. Bella's an aspiring gymnast, ice skater, prima-ballerina, and a musical prodigy. But she wants nothing more than to end her life. She almost gets her wish fulfilled when she gets hit by a shiny Volvo. She is left with a broken right leg and is convinced that she will ever be able to do a single cartwheel again. She wishes to fade away, to disappear, but the only thing keeping her alive is the person who hit her...
The screeching noise was what made me turn around. And it was the sight of the oncoming car that made me freeze in place. I couldn't find it in me to move, and although the car seemed to be moving in slow-motion, and I could make out every little detail of the shiny Volvo's front, I still stood my ground, and watched it come. I could have made it if I wanted too.
But the truth was even if I didn't want to, I know I couldn't I couldn't let Mira down. After all she's been through with me, I wouldn't leave her like this.
I only had two seconds to move. It was to face the inevitability that I would die or live.
So I ran.
But I didn't get far before my right leg hit against the moving car.
You would think that the collision would've hurt, that I would have screamed in pain as I hit the front of the car with a deafening sound, before rolling down on the ground and landing beside the sidewalk.
But no.
It didn't hurt, and I didn't scream.
I didn't have time to scream.
I was unconscious long before the car stopped dead.
The only sound was the scream from the driver…
