A Day at the Amusement Park
"Daddy! Daddy! Can we go on this?" Eva asked as she jumped around.
"Sweetie, we just walked in the park." Tony said as he leaned down to pick up his four year old daughter.
"She is quite like you, my little furry bear." Ziva said as she walked beside her husband.
"Well she is half mine." Tony replied as he shifted a squirming Eva in his arms.
Tony and Ziva had taken their day off to bring their daughter to the amusement park. It was her first time and Eva was very excited.
"I see Elmo!" Eva cried from Tony's arms.
"Elmo?" Tony asked as he spun around. "Where's Elmo? Ziva, we have to meet Elmo."
Ziva gave him an odd look.
"Eva wants to meet him!" Tony said sheepishly.
"Well, we will be sure to get a picture with Elmo before we leave." Ziva laughed as she consulted a map of the park. "It looks like most of the kiddie rides are over in one corner.
"We'll head over there first then." Tony said as he walked in the wrong direction.
"Tony!" Ziva called.
"What?" He called back.
"The rides. They are this way." She said pointing to a sign the clearly said all the kiddie rides were to the left.
"Oh. Right." Tony said as he veered to the left.
Ziva laughed as they walked in the right direction. There were a multitude of little kid rides to go on.
"What do you want to do first?" Ziva asked her daughter.
"That one." Eva said as she pointed at the roller coaster-like one. The roller coaster cars look very small, so small that Tony was afraid he wouldn't fit in it.
All three of them waited in line, and then got on the ride. Mercifully, the car was big enough for Tony's legs to fit in.
It was a fairly tame ride, but Eva was having the time of her life. She was giggling and screaming like crazy. Tony and Ziva shared a smile from seeing their daughter have so much fun.
After that ride, they went on all the ones in the vicinity. The family finished on a water ride.
"Daddy's all wet!" Eva giggled as she watched Tony ring out his shirt.
Ziva laughed along with her daughter relishing in the fact that she was completely dry.
"Hey, it's not my fault, I got nailed by a wave!" Tony said as she shook the water out of his hair.
Ziva ducked as water flew in her direction, "Tony…" She warned.
With a big wolf grin on his face he came closer, "You know you want a hug Zee-vah."
"Tony, don't you dare!" Ziva laughed as she backed up.
When he came closer, Ziva scooped up Eva, and started to run away from a very wet Tony.
They must have looked quite funny running thought the amusement park. Ziva laughing hysterically clutching their daughter with a dripping wet man chasing them. They earned quite a few questioning looks.
Finally coming to a stop, Ziva let Tony catch up with them.
"Ready for that hug?" Tony asked, grinning.
Laughing, Ziva stretched up and kissed him on the cheek.
"I'll take that." Tony said.
"Mommy, it's Elmo again!" Eva cried out.
"Let us go get our picture with Elmo." Ziva said as Eva ran in front of them.
After waiting in line, they got their chance to take their picture.
It was a picture Tony would put in his wallet, and Ziva would put on her desk. The three of them stood with Elmo, Tony's hair sticking straight up, and still dripping wet. Ziva and Eva were both smiling, looking like the family everyone dreamed about.
Tony and Ziva couldn't have asked for a better happy ending to both their lives and their day at the amusement park.
