She looked at the blood glistening on the blade watched as blood poured out of the wound in crimson sheets, staining the floor. She stood there tense; her bathrobe beginning to slip off her shoulders. Her hands were still clenched around a blade that was no longer in her hands, but protruding from Sasuke's chest. Her green eyes glanced down at his black ones, which stared blankly at her. Trembling, she reached to pull up her robe, only to find that her hands were covered in his blood.

Quickly, she scurried over to the bathroom sink, scrubbing furiously; trying to wash all of Sasuke away. Eventually, her scrubbing slowed, and she turned off the faucet. She stepped out of the bathroom, closing the door behind her. She walked over to the wall across from Sasuke's corpse and slid down until she reached the floor. "Sasuke's dead," she thought, "and I killed him." These were the thoughts that ran through her mind as she stared at her dead lover.

It had all happened so quickly. She had been in the kitchen opening a box of instant ramen when she had found them: the letters. She had taken the letters out of the box, there had been many, at least thirty. She had read them, one by one; they were from Naruto to Sasuke. By the time she had read them all, it was apparent: Sasuke had been seeing Naruto in secret for over a year. Sasuke had been planning to leave her, and run off with Naruto. She couldn't have that. Sasuke had promised he'd finally be with her forever on their wedding day eight years ago. So she had devised a plan: when Sasuke came back from his next mission, she would cook his favorite meal, and coax him into the bedroom, where he would die.

And here he was, lying on the floor in a pool of blood, his eyes no-longer seeing. Silently, she got up off the floor, and once again, headed towards the bathroom. She took a shower, washing away Sasuke's death. She got a fresh robe, and padded over to the bed, where she took one last good look at Sasuke, and then fell asleep. The next morning, she sent out a message of Sasuke's murder. Her story was simple: she and Sasuke had been asleep when a rouge ninja had come in and attacked them. Sasuke had died trying to save her. Later that day she went to Sasuke's funeral, where she placed a single red rose on top of the casket. Naruto attended the funeral as well, silently standing across from her.

After the funeral was over, and she moved to go home, she saw Naruto still standing next to the grave, crying silently. As she passed him, he glared her way with eyes that said "I know what you Sakura, and you know too." Her eyes widened at his glare and she bolted off down the path towards her house. That night, as Sakura slept restlessly in her bed, Naruto came through her window, and silently stood across from her bed, his shadow looming over her. Startle by his presence, she woke up to see his face inches from hers. She stopped breathing, fear tightening in her chest, as Naruto leaned in closer. His lips pressed against hers as he whispered in her ear, "Thanks for getting rid of Sasuke. Now I can have you all to myself."
