The heartbeats grew fainter and fainter until all was silent. He bit into his wrist allowing his blood to flow completing the ritual. Three days they would lie in the ground together, then eternity was their's.
He had chosen well. There was both strength and beauty in this one. He gave one last caress before closing his eyes for the day.
Feeling panic in his newly made child he sought to calm him. Reaching his hand to Eric's cheek he said, " I am Appius Livius Ocella and you are mine"
