Hiruzen Sarutobi, the third Hokage sighed as he suffered through the bane of all leaders...paperwork!
As if it weren't bad enough...their was currently three times as much! This was mainly due to the arrival of one 'Star Butterfly', the heiress to the 'village hidden in Stars'. It was a rising 'star in the ninja world that had only stepped into global affairs recently.
For several hundred years they'd remained isolated from the rest of the world...but their current Queen Moon Butterfly had wanted to break these barriers down. Not only were their ninja second to none...but their corn was now the most coveted export in the elemental nations.
To make further ties with the world around them, Moon had set up an exchange program...an odd move...especially since she was sending her own daughter!
It was imperative that they make good ties with this rising power!...but it was a mess! He had to figure out where to house her, her being a graduating academy student, she was to be put with the other Graduating academy student...which made the teams uneven! He had no Chunnin Captain ready to teach her!
...and he had no idea what to do with Marco Diaz! The first 'technical' Chunnin in over a century. A little known fact is that it's possible to take a written exam in order to become a Chunnin...this fell out of use since most considered it an invalid way of accurately testing a Gennin's capabilities(but mostly because the test was SOOOO boring, no one could finish it!)
Sadly, 'fell of use' doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as 'disallowed'. Technically it was still legal...and now for better or for worse a Gennin prodigy(but one that most veterans were worried didn't have the 'heart' for being a Chunnin).
Sarutobi had already passed a law to permanently shut down that method...but Marco was still a Chunnin. And Sarutobi couldn't just strip him of his title without good reason...he hadn't even done anything yet!
And then he got an idea...an idea that would make his adopted grandson Naruto proud...an idea so cruel...it brought a Grinch smirk to his face...

"Their making me captain of a newly graduated Gennin team!?" Exclaimed Marco Diaz baffled as he looked at the roster.

Sarutobi smirked at the boy's confusion, not only would this give him time to find a REAL Chunin instructor for Star...but if this 'team' didn't get Marco to quit and ask for a demotion in a DAY...nothing would...

AN: I know it says "in-progress" but really I just don't like boxing myself into a corner. For now this is more of a one-shot that I might continue one day...but probably won't.
