Sparrow's Flight

A "Pirates of the Caribbean" poem

Sailing was freedom

It was his life

He lived for a fight

And fought to live

but when he lost,

he lost well,

On an island of grief

Near the edge of never

but never without a spot of rum

Enter in a brave young man

With sea blood in his veins

Out over open sea they fly

flying over wave and tide

the pearl in its gentle stride

84 cannons from side to side

A weapons use to kill and maim

Can't hide from weapons

Can't escape their blame

Cursed…forever to lack the faith

Of the sailors old and tired

Come to him, the young man Will

Rising brave and bold

With a girl like that he's sure to be

alright from here on in

Sparrow sails away, off to sea

Then realizes where he is

And hears a soft voice saying

Wake up jack, your free!
