Hey Everyone, I know, it's been ages since I posted Fine Line, but I finally decided to make another story. About Dawn Star from Jade Empire, when I finished the part where it says she returns home to plant a flower for each of their fallen friends, well that just makes me cry. I hope you like it. : )

After the celebration for the accomplishment that Dawn Star helped her friends with, She knew what she had to do.

Visit Two Rivers, the school, her home. No matter how much she knew it would hurt, she had to see it one last time. She just couldn't bare to live her life without seeing it again.

As she traveled the lonely path to her beloved school, she was filled with memories. Memories of playing with the children, her friends, her best friend Wu the Lotus blossom, she always had such a pretty name. But with the good memories the bad ones came flooding back, getting kidnapped by Gao, returning home and finding the place bombed, fire everywhere, the assassin's, and the slaughter of all her friends.

She felt the pang of pain in her heart, it was hard to think of all this. She was just grateful she had an understanding friend when this all happened, grateful that she wasn't alone in this pain and someone could relate.

Trying to fill her mind with positive memories, she thought of her new friends. If she never left Two Rivers she never would have met all these interesting quirky people, well Black Whirlwind she could do without. I mean, they probably wouldn't have done as good without him, but it would have been nice if he bathed.

Dawn Star suddenly saw the scenery around getting more and more familiar, the pang of pain returned. She had doubt that she could even do it. "No, you can. If you don't you'll regret it." She told herself over and over. She stopped, and looked at the ruin. She knew she could do it, and walked in.

The place was completely untouched; all the burnt pieces were everywhere. The town where the settlers resided was burnt to a crisp. She saw some bones, and cringed.

"The poor settlers." She thought, it must have been horrible what they went through, what everyone had to go through. The students, the settlers, and the emotional pain the survivors would have to suffer through.

She sighed, and moved forward to face the academy, her true home.

It was hard to imagine that the once beautiful academy has become stained with black.

The Ring where everyone used to spar and practice their techniques was barely there.

She glanced at the house where Master Li used to reside. Thinking about him was hard, how he betrayed them how he was, she gulped, really her father. It was hard to accept, because of the betrayal. Honestly, he was basically like a father, and she could have accepted it. But not now, it would have to be something that time would have to help her accept.

Tracing her finger lightly against different parts of the academy, she continued her tour. She paused, and looked behind. She decided she was brave enough to visit her house in two rivers.

After a few moment of walking, she finally reached her house. It was just the same, only it was more burnt.

She glanced over to the garden, her garden. That was one of her fond memories, growing beautiful flowers every year, everyone loved them.

Dawn Star remembered she had some flower seeds on her; she always kept them on her, as a good luck charm. She knew what she had to do, Plant one, for all her fallen friends.

Dawn Star grabbed the burnt wood that covered her garden, and started pulling it off. First she was gonna clear it, then dig up the soil, and plant her seeds. She quickly got the wreckage out of there, but then, something caught her eye. A single flower, alive and so beautiful. A flower for every student would be planted, and this was her flower, the one waiting for her to arrive.

Finally, the lone wanderer realised, she was Home. She was finally home.
