A thousand miles (Grojband Song Fic)

Laney had known that Corey was oblivious to her crush on him.

Corey was away for the weekend on a trip and she missed him dearly.

She had some lyrics to share her love but was nervous to show them to him.

Later that night, she went to the garage having an idea.

"Kin, and Kon," she called for them.

Kin and Kon were at their instruments.

"What's up Laney?" asked Kon.

"I wanted to know if you could look at these," said Laney as she gave them the lyrics.

"You wrote these?" asked Kin, "These are good."

"Can we make a song out of this?" asked Laney, "I want it to be a surprise for Corey."

Kin and Kon had wide eyes.

"We've been shipping you for days," said Kon, "You guys are adorbs."

Laney smiled.

Later they set up the instruments and did some practice with the lyrics.

"I think we're ready this time," said Laney, "Let's do this."

Kin played on the piano and then Laney started to sing;

Laney: Making my way down town

Walking fast

Faces pass

And I'm home bound

Staring blankly ahead

Just making my way

Making a way

Through the crowd

And I need you

And I miss you

And now I wonder

If I could fall

Into the sky

Do you think time

Would pass me by

'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles

If I could just see you, tonight

It's always times like these

When I think of you

And I wonder If you ever think of me

'Cause everything's so wrong

And I don't belong

Living in

Your precious memory

'Cause I need you

And I miss you and now I wonder

If I could fall

Into the sky

Do you think time

Would pass me by, oh

'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles

If I could just see you tonight

Corey got out of the car and heard somebody doing some music. He went to the garage and saw Laney and smiled.

And I, I don't want to let you know I,

I drown in your memory I,

I don't want to let this go

I,I don't.

Making my way down town walking fast

Faces pass

And I'm home bound

Staring blankly ahead

Making my way

Making a way

Through the crowd

And I still need you

And I still miss you

And now I wonder

If I could fall into the sky

Do you think time, would pass us by

'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles

If I could just see you, now

If I could fall into the sky

Do you think time would pass me by

'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles

If I could just see you

If I could just hold you, tonight.

After Laney finished, she heard some clapping.

She turned and saw Corey.

"C-corey," she said, "Did you hear that?"

"Every word," said Corey smiling, "Of course I think of you. I think of you every day, but I thought you wouldn't notice me."

Kin and Kon were smiling.

"What I'm trying to say is…." Said Corey, "I… like you Lanes."

Laney had butterflies in her stomach.

"Will you go out with me?" he asked.

Laney smiled and said, "Yes."

They met lip to lip and kissed.

Trina looked and smiled and brought the rest of the stuff in.

"Mission accomplished," said Kin as he fist pumped Kon.
