Chapter One: The Protest

We returned from the rally. It was getting rather dark. Many of us had been spat upon by all those haters and deplorable out there. We had enough and was ready to fight for what was right. Our enemies branded us as the Social Justice Warriors, a group of left-wing activists. It started as a slur but we took the name with pride. Like all the people before us, we knew what we were doing.

We had seen the violence that occurred in our own world a generation or so ago. Voldemort, a hateful wizard who aimed to commit genocide by killing all the muggle-born, had been defeated. But it didn't stop people from admiring him. How could anyone want worship such a dark and foul being? It was beyond us. But with the rise of Trump and Brexit, so did the alt-right of the wizardry word appear.

"We can't keep allowing muggle-born in," we remembered one of their leaders say. "They could expose us and reveal us to the world."

"We must separate ourselves from the outside world," another person was said to have said. "Mud-bloods are a plague. Every moment we let them into our world it endangers us."

At first they insisted they were expressing their opinions. They said they had the right to free speech. Some of the more moderate members of the wizardry world said we shouldn't worry. They said it wasn't like these radicals were going to get any sway. We touted loud and clear the dangers of letting these evil wizard from moving the dialogue in a certain direction. Our warnings were too late.

In 2016, a businessman by the name of Ellis O'Brien-Peacock came to power. He first came to attention when he started a new wand making business. He said his wands were far superior to the stuff Garrick Ollivander made. Although there was report the wands were made from cheap wood, the fact the price was far lower than any of its competition made Ellis a billionaire practically overnight. He was eventually able to buy Gringotts. The first thing he did was fire all the Goblins, saying they were secretly plotting against the wizardry world. He then replaced the workers with house elves, slaves that he could not have to pay. This made him even richer. By 2010, he was the richest wizard the world had ever seen. He had pretty much bought all of Diagon Alley, and had a half share in Hogwarts. As a result, he was able to stop all muggle-born from attending Hogwarts, forcing them to learn magic underground.

As his popularity grew, he announce his attention to run for office. He won the election, although it was a rather close race. Kingsley Shacklebolt, his opponent, had to flee the country after Ellis's election victory. The former Minster for Magic is still on the run to this day.

Ellis now holds rallies every week, hyping up his devoted supporters while suppressing anyone willing to criticise him. He encourage violence. It was common for anyone who oppose to be pugnaciously beaten up.

We wore black masks, to hide our identities. We would never reveal who we really are, in fear that we would be penalised by the system. We returned to our hideout, where we were going to plan our next move. We had to overthrow Ellis before he does any more damage.

"That was surely stressful," James Potter said as he removed his mask.

"You shouldn't remove that thing too fast," one of the other masked figures said. "You never know who is watching."

"I was being careful," James complained.

"No careful enough," another mask figure mention. She removed her mask, revealing herself to be Hermione Granger, James's aunt.
