The team and I had just gotten off the plane after finishing a case when Derek speaks.
"I feel like a little drink and dancing. Anyone else want to go out tonight?" I corus of yes' and 'I'm down goes around the group until all eyes land on me.
"JJ you in?" Derek asks looking to me.
"You know, I was actually planning on staying in tonight."
"Oh come on Jen. Everyone is going. It won't be the same without you." Emily pleads giving me her best puppy dog eyes.
"Guys-"
"Please?" Emily says aging upping the look ten times.
"Uhh fine." I cave receiving a winning look from everyone."
"Babygirl come on and shake your tailfeather with me." Derek says holding his hand out to Penelope.
"You got it sweetface." She says leaving Emily and me to sit in awkward silence.
"They would be the cutest and most opposite couple."
"Yeah well you know what they say, opposites attract." She says looking from them to me when she says, "Do you want to dance?"
"Sure." I answer greatful the darkness is covering my blush.
"We're going to go slow and sexy for this next dance, party people." The Dj says dimming the lights so much if not for the colorful strobe lights the room would be pitch black.
Emily spins me so my back is to her front, running her hands up from my hips to my arms, lifting them so they are around her neck, resting her hands are on my hips, moving us to the beat of the music.
"I don't think I could do this with the lights on." She says and I feel her lips on my arm.
"I don't think so either. Dancing in the dark and six vodka shots will give a person courage." I say as I turn to face her, looking into her colour filled chocolate brown eyes. I watch as her yes dart down to my lips and back up, as if asking permission. I nod my head and her lips are on mine within milliseconds after.
"I have wanted to do that for a long time." She says smiling a smile that lights up the room on it's own.
"This isn't going to turn into a one night stand and awkward moments in the office is it?"
"No. I promise it won't," she says bringing her mouth back to mine this time running her tongue along my bottom lip, "this will turn into something beautiful." She tells me before crashing her lips against my own in another passionate kiss.
"Get a room you two!" Penelope says jokingly, laughing lightly with Derek.
"Oh I surly plan to." Emily says smiling as she brings her lips back to mine.
