Prologue: The Rise of Blackmist Act I

Chapter 1: Meeting and Cupboard Surprise

It began as darkness. A wasteland in which nothing was all and all was nothing. Only the light of the Citadel, the holy city of God, banished these formless wastes. All stood for a millenia, in a perpetual dance of light and shadows. That is until...

"My Lord, I believe that by creating this... Garden will no doubt bring about our destruction," said a voice "Eden will be consumed by the shadows, and the Garden will become a breeding ground for them."

"Brother," said another voice "Eden will be fine, the Garden shall be her sanctuary and home. There's no need to fear for her safety."

"Lillium, this is not the best course of action. This 'project' will be Citadel's downfall and I will not allow the light to fall!"

Lillium was dumbfounded by her brother Faust's outburst. She could not understand how he could question God's decision.

"Faust!" she yelled, "What gives you the right to question the Almighty's authority? What makes you so speci-"

"Enough! Faust, Lillium silence yourselves and sit down!"

The twins quickly quietly sat down, but not before giving a harsh glare to eachother. Fortunately this cold war between the two was quashed by a whithering gaze Lucifer, the host of the meeting, gave them.

"Your quareling has thinned my patience to its end. So I sugest that the both of you remain silent for the rest of this meeting before anyone else's temper is roused," he looks toward the Almighty, "My Lord, if you may please continue..."

"My thanks. As I was saying, my creations will overcome the chaotic darkness that dwells thoughout the world. The Garden will be the home of all living creatures of light: the birds of the sky, the fish in the waters, and the mamals living on land will all dwell there."

The Almighty looks to Faust and says, "I understand your concern for our home and Paradise, but rest assured that both earthly and heavenly affairs will be monitored by a champion born out of creation itself."

Unbeknownst to most of the group, a lone angel silently viewed the meeting with nervous yet curious expression etched on het face. Her breath quiet and shallow, but felt like a powerful gust of wind. She hopes that her vivid lime-green eyes wouldn't be seen. However, not everything goes as planned. With a soft voice, the Almighty commanded her to come out of the cupboard

"Ahh! Umph," She fell from her hiding place and landed rather embarassingly on Lucifer. "Umm hi Luci heh heh..."

"Eden, would you kindly get off my back and explain why you were eavesdropping on us?"

With her face as red as Lucifer's eyes, she began rambling on how she noticed the Almighty, the twins Lillium and Faust gathered at Lucifer's vila and her curiosity leading her to eavesdrop in the cupboard.

The Almighty seemed rather delighted with her presence seeing as the meeting would end in introductions, He said "Eden, seeing as you now know your purpose, would you like to meet your champion?"
