Here is one of my favorite VillagerXVillager pairings, Tangy and Filbert. Short one-shot. By the way, Kitty is a human villager, not the cat.
Tangy, Marina, and their mayor friend were all in Tangy's house for a sleepover.
"Guys, how do I tell him I like him?" Tangy asked. She wanted to tell Filbert of her love for him.
"Why don't you write him a letter?" The mayor, Kitty, suggested.
"Ok," Tangy said.
"Try to do poetry," Marina suggested.
"Ok," Tangy scribbled for a few minutes.
To my dearest Filbert,
Every time I see you, my heart skips a beat.
Your blue fur is all I think of day and night.
Just for you I always try to be neat.
I love it when your fur catches the light.

"Perfect!" Tangy said and read it aloud.
"AWW!" Marina shouted.
"I'll have Pete deliver it to Filbert for you," Kitty said.
"I want him to know who I am though," Tangy said.
"Lets leave him a riddle on the front of the envelope," Marina suggested.

Tabby also lived in the town, so she included the 'orange and a cat' part.
"Ok! I'll tell Pelly to have this personally delivered from Pete!" Kitty said. She changed into a new outfit.
"Wow, it's already 8 am! We talked through the night!" Marina said. They changed and Kitty came back.
"Ok, lets go spy on him," Kitty giggled.
"You may be a sophisticated mayor, but you act like a child," Marina said.
"I know. Well, waste no time! I said ASAP delivery!" Kitty grabbed their hands towards Filbert's house. Kitty and Marina hid behind trees and Tangy the nearest house. Pete knocked on the door.
"I wasn't expecting anyone," Filbert said, opening the door.
"Special Delivery!" Pete said, handed him the letter, and left.
"Ok then," Filbert said, then opening the letter.
"To my dearest Filbert," He read. "What?"

"Who is my secret admirer?" He asked, then looked at the envelope.

He stood for a second, thinking.
"It has to be Tangy," he said. "I've always liked Tangy. I'll visit her at her normal wake-up time, 9:00,"
"Hey Filbert!" Tangy said.
"Oh, Tangy! You're up early!" He said, starting to blush.
"I had Kitty and Marina sleep over. We stayed up ALL night!" Tangy said.
"Writing this letter to me, I'm guessing," Filbert pointed out.
"Yeah… About that, will you be my boyfriend?" Tangy asked.
"Sure," Filbert answered
