Getting Off Scorch Free
"In furious anger and in great wrath the Lord uprooted them from their land and thrust them into another land, as it is now" - Deuteronomy 29:28
"Great idea to have a cookout," said Dean, smiling as Castiel served the food he'd prepared.
"I'm not sure," said Chuck, tapping his blackened burger against the tabletop.
"They are maybe a little scorched," admitted Castiel with an apologetic shrug.
"More like smited!" Chuck complained. "I've a better idea." With a click of his fingers they were instantly elsewhere. A fine dining elsewhere with crystal glasses, real silver silverware, and pressed linen tablecloths.
"Are we actually in France?" asked Sam, noting the surroundings and the surprised expressions from the immaculately-dressed waiters.
"Bien sûr," smirked Chuck. He gave an exasperated sigh at Dean's outraged expression. "Exquisite food and 'Liberté, égalité, fraternité' could easily be the Winchesters' motto too." With a face like thunder, he added: "I thought you'd be grateful."
Dean gulped and hastily took a seat. "I guess their fries are okay," he muttered, tucking a napkin into his collar.
