"Stan! Stan, I'm sorry! I didn't mean for it to turn out like this!"
Stan completely ignores Kyle, who is standing outside his best friend's window, shouting apologies.
"She wasn't supposed to find out! And it's not like I told her! It was Cartman!"
The Jewish boy shook his head, "Okay now I'm just making excuses."
There was silence all around.
"Stan, please," Kyle begged, actually getting down on his knees in the freezing snow, "Please Stan! This isn't fair and you know it! I didn't do anything!"
Stan threw open his window and shouted, "The back door is open, come up here and let's talk this out like the mature 16 year olds that we are."
Kyle gets up off his knees and runs as fast as he could to his best friend's back door and let himself in. Talking this over was the right thing to do, they both knew it.
Sprinting and almost tripping up the stairs, Kyle made it to Stan's room and flung the door open.
"Stan!"
"Kyle! Tell me how the hell she found out. This thing between you and me… It was supposed to be secret. It was just us! I haven't told anyone, except for Kenny. But we both agreed it was okay to tell him… So tell me what the fuck happened!"
Kyle stared in dumbstruck awe at his lover. The boy had thrown his hat off and his raven hair was sticking up in a few places, and in others it fell into his eyes. His cheeks were flushed from shouting, and his wide blue eyes were slightly watering.
"Stan… Don't cry. Come here," Kyle held out his arms and Stan ran into them. Unable to stay mad, the boy broke down and cried.
"I can't believe how quickly this all happened," Kyle mumbled, stroking Stan's hair, "We've been together… twelve weeks. And you and Wendy were together for fourteen. She broke up with you in a day, all because of a stupid rumor."
"Kyle… I don't understand anymore."
"What don't you understand? We have been having an affair. Someone spread the rumor, and Wendy acted upon hearing it."
"But it's not a rumor…"
Kyle kissed Stan's forehead, his cheeks, then his lips.
"They don't know that."
