The Maiden's Child

Spring's POV
I was an outfielder in Camp-Half Blood, an unclaimed 16 year-old. I didn't know much about my family because I was stuck in Lotus Casino and Hotel, for over 80 years (according to Chiron's calculations). My friend, Alex (who was stuck in Lotus Casino too) got claimed one the first night and went straight to Apollo Cabin, that lucky duck to get claimed so quickly. I was good with bows and arrows, however I never got claimed by Apollo. One normal Thursday evening, it happened. I was at the bonfire singing with my fellow Hermes Cabin members. From the Apollo Cabin Alex came over and said, "Can I sit here?". I wanted to say yes, but before I could say anything, a glowing silver bow and arrow symbol appeared over my head. Everyone took moved away from me. Then it got really quiet, all the singing and cheering died out. Chiron came over (or is it galloped forward?) and declared, "Hail Spring Lee, Daughter of Artemis, goddess of maiden girls and hunters."
I stared at him like, WHAT? I thought Artemis vowed to be a maiden forever, turning away from men. Was this a joke or what? This was just plain o' wrong.
