I don't understand. Why would they push themselves this hard? A little girl of around 8 stared at the scene in front of her. They're working so hard…but what's the point? After this, there won't be a tournament, so why are they doing this?

Rikkai Dai and Seigaku were in the finals of the Nationals; it was Singles 2. Niou and Fuji were playing, and it was obvious that Fuji would win.

It doesn't make any sense, there's no reason for him to go on. Her nose scrunched up in confusion. That girly guy is gonna (1) win, so why is that old guy (2) still playing?

"Ne, onii-chan, why are they still playing?" When it comes to the worst, always ask your older brother.

A few snickers were heard from the ten year old. "Pride, of course."

Hazel eyes blinked in confusion. "Huh?"

"Every man has his pride. That silver dude will keep on playing because he doesn't want to lose his pride." That and, the boy sweat dropped, I heard that the tall guy on their team slaps them if they lose.

"That's stupid." The little girl said flatly. "And boys are stupid too if they become pride-freaks!"

(1) Gonna

It's a little girl thinking, so she has the right to say "gonna" instead of going to.

(2) Old guy

Since Niou has silver hair, and the little girl is little, to her it would seem that an old guy is playing.

A/N Eh, just a very short oneshot on a man's pride. The OCs were there because I thought it would be better if it was told from a little kid's view. This is un-beated, so there may be some mistakes. Also, my computer had to be re-booted, so Wii of Doom won't be updated for a while.
