Will stretched and got out of bed. Suddenly she heard a hoot.
"Yes! It came!" She whispered, running to the window, opening it quickly, and letting in a pure white owl.
"Thanks Hedwig!" Will said, grabbing an owl treat, throwing it to Hedwig, and sitting down on the bed to read the letter.
It said:
Dear Will,
Do you think you can come to the Burrow with us this year? It'd be cool if you could. Have you managed to convince your mum to let you get those highlights yet? If you have, can't wait to see them!
Hope you can come. If you can, use Floo Powder as soon as you get this letter.
Love,
Harry.
Will sighed happily, reading the letter from her boyfriend again, and then quickly changing into her jeans and her "I'm taken. Don't try anything." top. She ran down the stairs, into the kitchen and said to her mother,
"Mum, please can I go to the Burrow this year, come on, you said I could, please please please please PLEASE!"
"Alright, alright, you can go to the Burrow! When are you leaving?"
"As soon as I get the letter I just got! Woo hoo! YES!" Will screamed, jumping in the air, running back up to her room, dragging her trunk out from under her bed, stuffing all her books in on top of her robes, stuffing her wand in the pocket she had made for it, and grabbing the heart of Kandrakar. She put Candie, her owl, back in her cage, and ran to the telephone.
"Come on, come on," she whispered as she tried to ring Hay Lin.
"Hello?" Hay Lin yawned.
"Hi, it's me, Will. Sorry to bother you so early, but I just got a letter from Harry and I'm going to the Burrow, so I'll see you at Hogwarts, yeah? Tell the others for me will you?"
"Sure. See ya." Hay Lin said, stifling another yawn.
"Bye!" Will said quickly, putting the phone down, and starting to drag her trunk down the stairs. She slapped her head, whipped out her wand, and cast a Locomotor spell. She kept forgetting she was now qualified to use magic.
"Mum, I'm going, I'll write to you, okay?"
"Yes, darling. See you soon!" her mum called from the kitchen.
Will deposited her case, bag and owl in the fireplace, squished herself against them, grabbed a handful of Floo Powder, and yelled,
"THE BURROW!" In a swirl of green flame, she was gone.
