Two Treasures
Nami sat alone at the table as she drew a eight with her fork on the now empty plate. She had been feeling strange for quite a while now, it had started since He and the others had helped her and her village from Arlong, but she couldn't tell what it was and it had been growing stronger and stronger everyday she spent with him, no matter what she did it wouldn't go. It doubled when she had fallen ill on their way to Alabasta, and the crew took a detour to the winter island of Drum island and again he was there with her through it all, a warm smile formed in memory of his face when she had woken up.
Sighing Nami looked up and blinked, there was a note lying on the table in front of her and she was pretty sure it hadn't been there before. Looking up, the navigator saw no one else except Sanji who was cleaning dishes while whistling to himself. Nami picked up the note and read it twice before staring blankly at the wall. Climb as high as the heavens you fell from? Blushing slightly at the reference, Nami had to take a few seconds for the words to sink in before the red head realised the note meant the crowsnest. Glancing at Sanji as she stood up, Nami walked out of the cabin and stared out over the deck.
Everyone seemed to be doing their usual stuff. Zoro was fast alseep against the mast with his three swords across his chest and one hand shielding his eyes, Robin was reading a book while a stack of them sat beside her chair, Chopper was mixing some tubes of strange looking liquid slightly away from anyone else while various tools littered a small area around him. Luffy was sitting in his usual spot atop the Rams head, one hand holding down his straw hat as a gentle breeze picked up and singing a song off tune.
Nami looked at the sky quickly before climbing the rigging and jumped into the crows nest, where Usopp glanced at her before going back to fixing his fishing rod which Luffy broke in his haste to eat their catch. Nami noticed another note pinned to the mast and stood on tiptoe to reach it, then with Usopp looking over her shoulder read another riddle. "A piece of home held dear to your heart?" Usopp muttered as he scratched his head in confusion. "My trees..." Nami said half to herself in a bare whisper.
Climbing down the rigging again, the red head half ran to her trees and skidded to a stop as she reached them, eyes searching wildly. She took note that several oranges were missing but soon her eyes fell onto the next note and took it carefully from the branch it was hooked to. A place to dream about those you care for...My room! Her heart beating faster, Nami ran past the others towards her room, sidestepping past a confused Sanji carrying a tray with drinks for her and Robin, almost bolted down the stairs and looked around her room as she caught her breathe, finally spotting another note on top of something hidden beneath a small blanket. Taking slow steps forward, Nami could feel her heart in her throat as she picked up the note and read it aloud. "Two Treasures we both hold close." The navigator reached forward with a shaking hand and pulled off the blanket and stared at the two treasures before her and smiled as two arms wrapped themselves around her waist and lips giving her a gentle kiss on the cheek.
"Like it?" said her admirer as Nami blushed, picking up the Strawhat filled with Oranges.
