Sakura sighed as she watched the goings on of Konoha from her apartment window. It was Valentines Day and she was all alone. On Valentines Day!
Everyone she knew had someone to share the day with.
Ino had Shikamaru.
Hinata had Naruto, finally. It only took him…….five years to realize that she like him.
Tenten had Neji.
Shino had someone from another village.
Lee had Karin, a girl who loved taijutsu as much as he did.
Even the sand siblings had found someone to spend Valentines Day with.
If every had found someone like that, why couldn't she? She kept asking herself that. Sakura sighed and stood. She walked into her bedroom and got her hospital uniform on before quickly running to the hospital for her shift.
She quickly made her rounds and soon, it was time for her to go. She grabbed her jacket and was heading out the door when someone grabbed her shoulder and spun her around.
It was Mako, one of the male nurses who was always trying to get a date with her and all the other nurses. He was a perverted womanizer. "Hey babe. Want to have a date tonight wit the hottest guy in this hospital?" he asked while leaning towards her.
Sakura ducked behind him before he could lean in too far. "How about………..no." she said while walking off.
Mako glared after her. "No girl rejects me." he growled out.
(Later on)
Sakura sighed as she walked down the now dark streets of Konoha. She was almost home when someone grabbed her and pulled her into the alleyway. Her eyes widened when she saw Mako with three guys standing around her.
"No. One. Rejects. Me." Mako growled out as he moved closer to Sakura while the other three guys held her and made sure that she didn't run.
Tears were streaming down Sakura's face and she didn't think that anyone would find her in time.
"I don't think you should do that." a cool and calm voice said from the end of the alley.
Everyone looked over to see our favorite silver haired Jounin. Kakashi flew towards them and soon the guys were unconscious on the ground. "Sakura, are you alright?" Kakashi asked.
Sakura was using the wall to hold herself up. Her legs finally decided to give out. As she fell forward, Kakashi quickly moved and caught her.
"I'm taking you back to my apartment." he said while transporting them straight into his apartment. He walked into his room and laid Sakura down on his bed.
Sakura sat up and looked over at Kakashi. "Thanks." she mumbled under her breath. She struggled not to cry.
Kakashi reached out and brushed the hair out of Sakura's face. "Sakura, why are you all alone on Valentines Day?" he asked. He sat down on the edge of the bed and looked over at her.
Sakura looked up at Kakashi and let the dam break. She hung her head as the tears fell down her face. Sakura didn't want to look weak in front of her old sensei.
Kakashi sighed and scratched his head. He wasn't sure what to do. So, he did the first thing that came to mind. He reached over and held Sakura while she cried. While he did, Sakura told him why she was so sad.
Sakura pulled away from Kakashi and wiped at her eyes. She smiled a bit. "This is ridiculous. I'm nineteen and here I am, sobbing my eyes out to my old sensei, just because I was all alone today." she laughed a bit.
Kakashi smiled at her. "Sakura." he said.
Sakura looked over at him. "Yeah?" she asked, her voice a little hoarse.
"You aren't alone." He pointed out. "You're here with me." he smiled through the mask.
Sakura stared at him for a minute. She started to laugh. "Here I was, so upset that I was alone, that I couldn't see that I wasn't really alone!" she said out between laughs.
Kakashi started laughing as well. And neither of them was alone on Valentines again.
