(A/N: Alright people, this is the Prologue to a new story I am starting and I HAVE to admit that it is damn short. And defiantly going t be the shortest thing in this story (I PROMISE). Now I have already started chapter one but I will not continue to post anything unless you guys like it and would honestly read more. (Only because I wrote seven chapters with a friend before we decided to give up on our last story because no one was reviewing so we assumed no one was reading...) I'm not asking for a certain amount of reviews, I just want know that the time I will be putting into this story is worth it and someone will be enjoying it... alright... enough of my babbling... on with the story...)
Disclaimer: I own nothing you would recognize... If you don't... then its mine....

Most of them had never been in a cat fight, let alone a bloody war for their lives, and the lives of every other human to walk this earth and those yet to come. The first two fell in the hands of a human man. No, wait that's not right, they were not the first, only two in a line of many before them. None the less, the death of two girls was not taken lightly and effected event those who barely knew them. They were not read, but then again, they never would be. But that is only the beginning, a few more potentials came to us before it happened. With no time to train them, they didn't stand a chance. I guess maybe we got lucky with one of them.
~*~*~*~*~
The house was silent, and everyone had fallen asleep hours before. Everyone but me that is. I had lay in bed for hours, but sleep would not overcome me. So instead I opted to use the television down stairs in the living room to watch old family films. Lucky for me we had the place more organized these days and all the girls had somewhere to sleep that did not include my living room floor. And so I popped in a tape and sat down to watch Buffy's 5th birthday party, that put me to sleep after ten minutes.
I heard a low tapping on the door. Jumping up, I looked around, then at my clock. 4:00. Who would be knocking at my door at 4 am. The Bringers? The Uber Vamps? No they don't knock, they have no need for it. Sighing, I stood up and slowly made my way to the door, more goose bumps rising as I got closer. Having no peephole to look trough, I blindly opened it to see a girl not much older than me standing outside. She had dark brown hair with bright red highlights, cut just below her shoulders that angled up to her face, and peculiar pale grey eyes. She wore a pair of tight fitting black pants and a red tank top. In her left hand was a long thin sword which I would later learn is called a katana. She was completely covered in crimson blood. My eyes widened as I lead her into the quiet house and got a better look at her. The blood couldn't possibly be all hers, but how much of it was, I couldn't tell.
"Is this where I go for help?"; She asked hoarsely and I nodded.
"Come with me"; I lead the girl up to the bathroom. "Lets get you cleaned up.."; I forced a smile at her while getting some towels. "I'll get you some clean clothes.." I said before handing her the towels and leaving the bathroom.
As the door closed behind me, I could hear the water running. I walked down the hall and passed my bedroom door. Knocking on the door beside mine, I found no answer, not that I expected to, so I let myself in. Walking over to the queen sized bed, I shook the blonde that slept soundly until she looked at me. "What?" She groaned.
"Buffy.."; I started. "Another potential just arrived.."
