A LIFE BEGINS, AND ENDS

The woman screamed in intense pain as every muscle in her body tensed, giving off another contraction. Her long, beautiful, once luxurious brown hair now lay matted against her forehead, soaked in sweat. Her once beautiful face was now red and contorted with pain.
Pain.
That was all she knew at that point. Was her career really worth all this pain and suffering? It didn't matter now though. There was no turning back, she had LONG since breached the point of no return. She screamed again and felt something push against her cervix. Something from the inside was working its way out.
"It's coming! The baby is coming!"
"Almost there..."
"She's bleeding too much!"
The baby, it was all about the baby now. Her child MUST survive, must grow. It must make friends and settle down with a nice family. It must love.
Like she should have done.
"She's losing way too much blood!"
"I don't care about her! I must have that child alive!"
"But doctor, she's your wife!"
"I will not let years of experiments go down the drain just because she's not strong enough to endure childbirth! Now make sure that baby survives!"
Yes make sure my baby lives. I want to see it, watch it grow. I want to be there for it when it suffers, I want to love it...
She felt something slip out. "It's a boy!"
"Bring it to me!"
"Its cord must be cut!"
"I don't care about that! Bring me the child!"
No, help it, make it survive...Damn you, Professor, you never cared. A babies cry filled the air. The woman lifted her head weakly. She had to see her son.
"Wait! Let me see my baby! Let me see my son! His name...his name is..."
The double doors to the delivery room slammed shut, shutting her away from the world, away from life. She never got to see her son.
"His name is...Sephiroth"
AUTHORS NOTE: So what did you think? Sorry if it's depressing. I just had to put something from "her" point of view, and she didn't seem to have a happy point of view, did she? Oh well... this story is just an experiment, so please let me know if I should post more. I promise it won't ALL be as depressing as this one...
