You always make me smile – Kyle Andrews.
A few separate moments between Remus and Tonks.
...
I like your messy hair, I like the clothes you wear
I like the way you sing, and when you dance with me
ready, set, here we go
…
I walk into the bathroom to see her standing by the mirror. I can't help but smirk as she sings into her hairbrush and dances in front of the mirror. Her hair changes colors every few seconds from a bright blue to her favorite bubblegum pink. Each style is just as bed rumpled as the next, she's adorable.
After a moment of watching her dance she slips on the tiles and almost cracks her head against the tiles, but I'm too quick. My arms are around her in an instant, sheltering her from the pain of her own clumsiness.
"How long have you been there?" She blushes as I help her up and steady her.
"Long enough." I whisper as I smile.
…
I don't know why, I love you
I just know I can't, stop thinking of you
it's cause you make me smile, you always make me smile
…
The first time I met her I knew that she was something else. It was hard not to know when she was so clumsy. Tonks was never one for stealth. Her entrance was always announced by a loud crash followed by snorting laughter.
She was infatuating and it was rather endearing.
Around her, I could smile.

I like that rainbow pair of gym shoes that you wear
I like the chance you take, I like the mess you make
I don't know why, I love you
I just know I can't, stop thinking of you
it's cause you make me smile, you always make me smile
…
The first time I really understood how much she wanted me was when despite my age, wealth and disorder she chose to be with me. It was possibly one of the stupidest chances she could ever take but her theory is that she's clumsy, messy, young and a complete handful.
To me? Those are her best qualities.

I like that rainbow pair, of gym shoes that you wear
I like the way you sing, and when you dance with me
I like the face you make, and when you dance with me
I like the rules you break, and when you dance with me
I like the cake you bake, and when you dance with me
I like the chance you take, so won't you dance with me
…
"Dora?" I call into the kitchen.
I walk faster as I see a cloud of thick grey smoke billowing down the hallway from where she is.
"Dora?" I call distressed as I enter the kitchen.
I quirk an eyebrow as she runs around the kitchen fanning the now beeping smoke detector as a black, smoking cake now sits upon the bench. Her tongue is poked out the side of her mouth and her eyes squinted in concentration as she stands on her tip toes.
Eventually it stops beeping and she turns to throw me a childish smile.

I don't know why, I love you
I just know I can't, stop thinking of you
it's cause you make me smile, you always make me smile
I don't know why, I love you

She climbs into bed next to me with a soft sigh and a smile. I find myself absentmindedly stroking her bubblegum hair as her head leans against my chest.
I smile.
Right here, right now. This is where I want to stay.
