The Forests Of Home

A/N: Wow. I did two of these one-shot things in the space of about…20mins? Pretty cool. Now. This is a fanfic version of a theory that Legolas had actually gotten married in his 3000-ish years? His family is all O.C, my beautiful creations.

Concerning Reviews: I really love them. I truly do. Just…be nice. I love constructive criticism, but no flaming. They may be out of character, they may not be. I don't religiously study other peoples characters x.x

Disclaimer: Hmmm…owning Lord of the Rings. You think a 14-year old girl is going to own Lord of the Rings? Nup. I definitely don't.

Legolas pushed his white horse faster towards Greenwood. He could tell his friend's, who had wanted to see his home, where struggling behind him, trying to keep up, but he didn't want to stop.

His blonde hair billowed after him and his blue eyes glinted in the sun as he pulled his stallion to a halt not 10 metres from the forests of his home.

Aragorn and Gimli halted behind, Aragorn smiled gently as he took in the joy in his friend of many years eyes. Gimli sat heavily upon his horse, huffing from exhaustion.

'Not that I'm complaining,' Gimli managed between breaths, 'but after all that racing, he is just going to sit there?'

Aragorn turned to the stout dwarf. 'Ah, but he is waiting.'

The dwarf's eyes narrowed, 'for what?'

As if in answer a slight rustling was heard from the edges of the forest. Gimli grasped his axe as Aragorn lightly rested his hand on the sword's hilt, just in case. But Legolas didn't move.

It seemed an age, before anything happened. But, abruptly, an elleth appeared from the deepness of the forests. Her dark brown hair shined in the sunshine, her eyes, dancing with joy, were a curious shade of blue-green and her pink lips were curved in a gentle smile. Her body was shapely and it was hugged by a long leaf green full length dress with cream bell sleeves.

Aragorn's hand left his sword as he grinned at the dwarf's obvious confusion. Legolas dismounted smoothly as the elleth started towards him. Suddenly, as if hating the distance towards them, Legolas sprang forward, sweeping up the beautiful she-elf into his hands and covering her lips with his own.

The elleth wound her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss as Aragorn and Gimli turned away, giving them slight privacy.

They turned at the sound of Legolas calling their names. 'Aragorn already knows this wonderful lady, but, master dwarf, you haven't been so honoured, if I may introduce Trystia, Crowned Princess of Greenwood and my wife.'

Trystia's face had reddened at her husband's praise but she regained her composure and curtsied gracefully to the confused dwarf.

Gimli's mouth had somehow managed to mumble a greeting before the small company had started off again. He dropped back to Aragorn, turning to the once ranger. 'I never knew Legolas had a wife.'

Aragorn laughed. 'They have been married for about a thousand years, and their union is a happy one.'

Gimli frowned. 'I still don't know why I haven't heard wind of it.'

Aragorn smiled teasingly. 'Well, if you had listened to the news from Mirkwood when it had arrived, you would have known, like everyone else, as Trystia sent him love every time.'

He galloped off ahead, leaving a fuming Gimli behind.
