A/N: So this story will be kind of AU, but the characters won't really be OOC. (at least.. I hope not :P )

Full Summary:

When Draco and Hermione keep fighting at work, things get more and more out of hand. Finally, their actions cause horrible effects, and the two are sent on "vacation" to get away from everyone at work. Unfortunately, their boss fails to mention that the two will be going TOGETHER. Not only that, the entire trip involves them running around Muggle Florida, without wands.

Disclaimer: I own nothing except my ridiculous plot. ….. Gee, who would have guessed..? -.-

Hermione had started working at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries about a year ago. A month later, the bane of her existence applied and got a job. On the same floor. In the same exact ward. Lucky her.

"GRANGER!"

"What..?" She asked, rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"Look what you've done!"

"What?" She looked up at that, confused. Suddenly, all she could see was the purple robes he was wearing. This distracted her from his silvery-grey eyes and blonde hair. That was probably a good thing, though, because he really was too good looking. It just wasn't fair. And he knew it, too, which made it loads worse. "….What makes you think that was my fault..?" She asked slowly.

"Of course it was you! Nobody else is this mental!" He barked.

"Oh please. I'm not the only one here who dislikes you." She glared at him coldly.

His eyes flashed and he stalked towards her. "You listen here, Granger. You think people like you? Don't make me laugh. People can't stand you and your obnoxious book-worm, know-it-all, I'm-better-than-everyone attitude. Perhaps if you took a look around, you'd see that you're not nearly as special as you think you are. And perhaps then you'd just shut the hell up and leave us all be. We don't really care what you have to say, most of the time, to be quite frank."

Hermione gave him her best death glare and stalked into the back room. Unfortunately, she heard his pissed off stomps following her. Even more unfortunate for her, her eyes were watering.

"Don't you walk away from me, Granger."

"Leave me alone, Malfoy!" She cried, walking faster.

"You should be thankful that I said something! Now you won't be going around thinking everyone loves you. Now you know the truth. Isn't that what you read your stupid books for?"

"I swear, if you don't shut up, you ferret, I'll-"

"You'll what? Cry?" He sniggered.

Hermione whirled around, hair flying, to face him. All trace of tears were gone at this point. Now, she was just raving mad. Wand to his throat, she glowered at him. "Don't make me use, this, Malfoy.." She threatened.

He gave his best 'bored' look and crossed his arms, watching her. He could almost feel her resolve breaking as she looked at him. Just when she began to loosen up and relax, his arm flew out, grabbed her wand, and turned it on her. The look of complete shock almost made him smirk. Almost. He was too mad now though.

"I'm not playing games here, Granger." He warned. "Try and pull something like that again, and you'll regret it."

"Put the wand down, Mr. Malfoy." A voice said from behind him. Hermione's eyes grew wide and Draco had no question about who was standing behind him. Closing his eyes and letting out a breath, he lowered her wand, and turned to face their superior.

"Hello, Healer Wanit." Draco said slowly, not sure what to do. Hermione snatched the wand back, and Draco gave her an exasperated look over his shoulder.

"Listen up, you two." Healer Wanit snapped, glaring at the pair of them, "You have either been working too hard, or are holding old grudges. I'd bet both apply here. Thus, I've arranged for you two to take a week off, in America, to just relax. I've made plans for activities you must do, as they're already paid for. And there will be no wands while you're away. I'll send you each a plane ticket in the following few days. You'd best pack for some hot weather, and beaches."

"Sir, I don't really need a vacation!" Hermione started, "I'm feeling just fine. I don't need a beach and sun for a week.."

"What's your problem, Ms. Granger? You work far too hard to not get a paid vacation for once." Healer Wanit replied.

"I.. I suppose.."

"I really don't want to deal with you complaining about getting off work, Ms. Granger. Just go and enjoy."

"Well.." Draco said, finally speaking, "Sounds like I'd better go pack!" He grinned. "See you lot in a week!"

A/N: Sorry short chapter. Just an intro, I guess.
