Chapter 1
Antonio has been a teacher for no more than a year. He was excited to finally start a second year though most of the teachers still couldn't believe how he got offered the job in this school in particular. All of them were highly experienced with more than ten years of teaching, so it was confusing how the 25-year-old got the job. Even if no one knew what the heck happened, the Spanish man couldn't refuse the offer. Students from all over the world who were known to somehow stick out with at least one of the school subject usually popped up here. Many could only dream to end up there.
The Spanish teacher organized once more his desk making sure he ha everything in order. This was the last class he had to give in the day and he was read to go home and fall face-down on his bed. You know those days, sometimes he loves teaching, others he hates it, and today he just wanted to watch TV. And somehow, he still managed to keep a smile in his face.
"Slow down, idiota! Stop running!"
"Ve~ Sorry, Lovi."
"Stop calling me that."
"Sorry."
Feliciano Vargas let go of his twin brother and obediently stopped running. Lovino Vargas continued walking forward massaging his hurt shoulder as Feli skipped beside him. The day was almost done but Lovino was done by the end of the first period. You couldn't really confuse both twins considering how much they look alike. Feli pretty much saw the bright side in anything though he was oblivious most of the time. Lovino was mostly a pain and could scare anyone away with a glance. He got used to the whole idea of everyone loving his brother instead of him, hell, no one liked being him. Without counting his brother and grandfather, of course. In a way, he preferred it like that.
Both siblings barely made it in time. Lovino walked all the way to the back of the classroom without looking at anyone. Feli skipped as he followed which somehow brightened the room just a bit more. Just then, he laid eyes on his Spanish teacher and suddenly found it hard to tear his gaze from his emerald green eyes. Noticing how hard it was, he swore under his breath and dug his head in his arms.
Antonio found himself a little disappointed to see his students simply walk and simply sit at some random chair and keep bored faces while chewing on their pencils. He only caught the smile of one who seemed to be Italian. An identical face sat next to the happy student and avoided his gaze for some mysterious reason. He sighed.
"Seriously, this is how you guys act today. C'mon, lighten up; it's your first day, you guys should be excited, not acting as if you were locked up in a cell."
"Technically we are."
Antonio just laughed and sat on top of his desk. He seemed oblivious to the reason of why he only seemed to get the girl's attention while the guys focused on something else, though this has happened before.
"Well I will do my best to make this jail cell the most comfortable possible. Let's start with names, mine's Antonio, but you are all welcome to call me Toni if you like. Now yours, let's start with the blonde's."
The boy seemed to be surprised to even be noticed as he spoke with his whispery voice. But still, one by one they said their names. He was proud for his good start.
Lovino answered, numbly, the quiz the teacher gave them just to see how they were going. He hated himself for not being able to get that bastard's eyes out of his head. He didn't get why his head stuck to the image of that teacher. He didn't get it now, and possibly never will. 'Damn that teacher' Lovino thought as he tried to remember what 'electrico' meant. Once he answered what he could, he asked his brother if he could take it to Antonio. Even if Feliciano asked why, he didn't answer. He continued to avoid the eyes of anyone as he grew more and more anxious. His brother noticed this, but was a little afraid to ask what was going on considering how rare these moments were for Lovino. As the matter of fact, they were so rare they never happened. Feliciano decided to drop it, just like Lovino told him along with a couple of un-gentleman-like words.
Finally class ended and Lovino practically left running. He didn't even wait for his brother which made everyone else get suspicious. Everyone stood and also hurried out.
"Por favor, don't leave so quickly, it hurts my feelings."
Antonio got home, threw his bag on the couch, turned on the TV and threw himself on the couch. The last Spanish class went better than expected, but the one's before just got him exhausted. He flipped lamely through the channels looking for something good to see. His sister used to tell him how he should stop acting as if he was eighteen and to be more mature. Then again, he couldn't really remember almost anything from when he was eighteen, only rehab, and Jackson, and the fights, and-. He shook off the memory. The last thing he wanted to remember was Jackson, yet that name was in back of his head haunting him making him want to rip off his head.
He jumped to hear a banging in the door. He calmed himself by repeating that he wasn't back in Spain anymore. He opened the door and saw a familiar face appear. His bright blond hair that was spiked up and pale skin made it simple to recall him.
"Daan, what can I own this pleasure for?"
He said sarcastically. If you knew either of them by separate, you wouldn't find a problem with putting those two in a room, but knowing them in the same room, you would know that the blond man from Netherlands and the tan Spanish teacher from Spain do not go well together. The truth was that the only reason those two hadn't killed each other yet was because of Daan's sister, the other blond who was born in Belgium. How were the two siblings born in two different countries, it was complicated. Antonio still couldn't understand. Something about their parents getting divorced and their mom decided to go back to her home country which was in Belgium and she, Emma, was conveniently born.
"Do me a favor, don't talk until the end, okay. Good, I just got here and you voice already stings my ears. Anyway, you ought to remember Jackson, correct, well, he's back, and he's looking for you."
