This miniscule cracky one-shot was inspired by my trip to the Orthodontist today. I am never going to get used to having bits of metal crammed into my mouth. Oh well, I guess there's nothing I can do about it. Anyway, Naruto's reaction was a LOT worse than mine, I'm proud to say, though if I had kunai, I'd have been throwing them left ,right and center as well. Enjoy!

"I'm not going in there, I won't, I won't, I WON'T!" Naruto screamed as seven of his closest shinobi friends plus Kakashi sensei tried to push him out of the Orthodontist's waiting room and into the examination room. "Naruto, you've faced down members of the Akatsuki and you're scared of getting braces?" Kakashi asked. "Calm down Naruto," Shikamaru grunted as he was thrown against the wall, narrowly avoiding knocking out a seven year old playing right where he was about to land. "They're just braces."
"Yeah," Lee agreed. "They don't even hurt that much."
"Are you kidding?" Ino asked. "When I got mine on, it hurt so much, I couldn't chew anything without crying."
Shikamaru, Lee, Kiba, Chouji , Sakura and Shino all turned to glare at her. "What, what I say?" Ino asked, confused, only for Naruto to burst into tears. "Well," said Kakashi-sensei quickly. "On that note, I'm going to go now." Before anyone could say anything, he'd raced out of the building. Naruto had now gone totally crazy, there were shadow clones and kunai flying everywhere. Little children were screaming and the receptionists were hiding under the desks. "Oh for crying out loud," Shikamaru yelled. "Shadow possession jutsu!". Before Naruto knew what was going on, he was walking into the Orthodontists examination room. The Orthodontist looked up, surprised. "And this is ?"
"Naruto Uzamaki," Kiba said quickly before Naruto could say a thing. Once Naruto was safely settled into the vast leather chair, all seven other shinobi raced out of the room. Three hours later, after Kiba had taken Akamaru for a walk and Chouji had made Ino leave to buy him six more packets of potato chips, Naruto finally came back into the waiting room, one of his maniacal grins splashed over his face. "So…" Shikamaru began carefully. "How was it?". Nothing could have prepared the shinobi for what came next. "It WAS SO COOL!" Naruto screamed, then opened his mouth to reveal his braces, which were colored orange and black alternately. "I tried to get him to put little toads on them, but he said it would take too long and he had another appointment." Everyone grinned at the look of disappointment in Naruto's eyes – almost everyone. "Naruto you're such an idiot!" Sakura screamed before punching him so hard he flew backwards through the wall. Strangely enough, however, no-one noticed, because all other six ninja were staring at what was happening in the back of the room. "Say, isn't that – ,"
"Gai-sensei!" Lee shrieked, finishing Shikamaru's sentence for him. But for the first time ever, Gai-sensei was ignoring Lee.
"No I won't go in there, I won't, I won't, I WON'T!" he screamed, pushing away Kakashi, Asuma, Kurenai and Yamato in an effort to get away. "Well," said Sakura slowly. "I guess we know who the Orthodontist's next appointment is."
