Marik: --U Yeah, whatever.

Me: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! 12/23!!!!!!!!

Marik: Uh… thanks, I guess…

Me: NOW LET'S SEE WHAT OUR FAVORITE TOMB KEEPER IS UP TO ON HIS BIRTHDAY, SHALL WE…?

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG…

BAM!!!!!!!

Marik Ishtar took his Millennium Rod and hit his alarm clock, immediately breaking it.

"Master Marik, it's time to get up."

Marik groaned loudly and obviously. "Not now Odion…"

"But Master…"

"I said NOT NOW!"

He rolled over and covered his ears with is pillow.

Odion shook his head. But he was smiling. He knew exactly how to get Marik up. "Okay then. Miss it."

"Miss what?" Marik sounded interested, despite himself.

"Oh, nothing…"

"I said, MISS WHAT?!" Marik was wide away now. He was up, pointing his Millennium Rod at Odion. Of course, it was an empty threat. He wouldn't really do anything to his adoptive brother.

Odion couldn't help but smirk.

"Why are you smirking?"

"Because, despite your protests, I got you up."

Marik realized what had happened and pouted. Odion chuckled.

"Really, though, you'll miss the surprise," he said, drifting away.

"WHAT SURPRISE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"

"Where… where am I?" Marik sounded slightly suspicious as he looked at Yugi, Joey, Veena, Julia, Julia and the authoress.

Marik looked around him. A slender young man was on the stage with other people. He was walking around, checking everything. He picked up a guitar and plucked a few chords. He nodded.

"Alright Authoress-lady, let's have it." Marik turned to the authoress.

But Marik, you KNOW I can't spoil who it is! Besides, I got the FACTS wrong the FIRST time I took you to a concert… sorry Veena.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Veena shook her head.

"C'mon, den, Marik," said Joey. "Da concert's about ta start."

Marik turned and listened as the lead singer – the young man – started to sing.

The sun came up with no conclusions,

Flowers sleeping in their beds,

The city cemetery's humming

I'm wide awake, it's morning

I have my drugs,

I have my woman –

They keep away my loneliness

My parents, they have their religion

They sleep in separate houses.

I read the body count out of the paper

And now it's written all over my face

No one ever plans to sleep out in the gutter

But sometimes that's just the most comfortable place.

So I'm drinking, breathing, writing, singing,

Everyday I'm on the clock

My mind races with all my longings

But can't keep up with what I got

So I hope I don't sound too ungrateful,

What history gave modern men;

A telephone to talk to strangers,

Machine guns and a camera lens

So when you're asked to fight a war it's over nothing,

It's best to join the side that's gonna win

And no one's sure how all of this got started

But we're gonna make 'em goddamn certain how it's gonna end

Yeah, we will

Well, I could have been a famous singer

If I had someone else's voice

But failure's always sounded better

Let's f it up boys, MAKE SOME NOISE!

The sun came up with no conclusions,

Flowers sleeping in their beds,

The city cemetery's humming

I'm wide awake, it's morning.

HAPPY LATE B-DAY MARIK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look, I know it's short. The other one was longer, but I really don't have too much time, since I haven't updated in a while. But enjoy…?

Can you guess what band it is? I'll even give you points for the lead singer (hint: look at the title of the story).
