Author's Intro: I'm certain every Yugioh fan remembers the now infamous Blue Eyes, White Ultimate Dragon trilogy and how The Celtic Guardian was just inches away from defeating that mighty beast. This short story tells what happened after the Celtic Guardian was incinerated by the Blue Eyes, White Ultimate Dragon's White Neutron Blast attack. After returning to the realm where all Duel Monsters reside when they are not in battle the Celtic Guardian is comforted by his lover, the Mystical Elf. So enjoy a rather sweet romance story.
Elven Love: A Celtic Guardian/Mystical Elf romance

Failure, As I much as I hate to say that word, I failed Yugi today. I was this close to finishing off Kaiba's dragon but Yugi held me back. The Blue Eyes incinerated me and Yugi lost. All Duel Monsters live in a special realm when their master or mistress hasn't summoned them. Upon returning to this realm I was greeted by my best friend, The Dark Magician, I couldn't bear to look him in the face because of my failure to help Yugi get into the castle and save his grandfather's soul.
"You did the best you could Celtic Guardian," said Dark Magician, "You didn't anticipate Kaiba threatening to jump off if you attacked that dragon of his. Despite being an excellent duelist, Kaiba was a coward to perform an act like that."
"Whatever you say old friend," I said, "I'm going to be in my room if you need me, getting drunk so I can forget this whole day."
I slunk off to my room in the house that I shared with the Dark Magician, Gaia the Fierce Knight, the Flame Swordsman, and the Axe Raider. I removed my armor and changed into a green t-shirt and loose green pants. All I could do was replay those final moments of the fight in my mind. All I could do was obediently stand there as the Blue Eyes, White Ultimate Dragon incinerated me, costing Yugi the battle.
"Hello Celtic Guardian," a soft lilting voice said behind me. I turned around to see my lover, the enchanting and eternally, beautiful Mystical Elf. "Dark Magician told me about your battle today. He said you were very upset about failing Yugi, so I came to make you feel better." She wrapped her lithe, blue arms around my waist and rested her head on my shoulder.
"I failed him, my darling," I said, "Yugi was counting on me to help him, and I let him down. I don't if I'll ever be able to fight again."
The Mystical Elf came back up to me and wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug, her eyes sparkling.
"I know that you're hurting from this defeat, but I know that you will move on and become more powerful than ever," said The Mystical Elf, "I will always stand by you, because I love you Celtic Guardian, and nothing will ever change that."
As I stared into her lovely bluish-gray eyes, I realized just how right she was. The Mystical Elf loved me with all her heart, and she would always be there to comfort me. I took her into my arms and gave her a soft and gentle kiss. We walked out onto the balcony and I watched the sun set with my Elven lover.

Author's notes: I hope you enjoyed this little romance. It was something I thought up out of sheer boredom. I'll be the first one to admit that romances are not my specialty. But I wanted to show how the Celtic Guardian might have felt after what he perceived as failing Yugi and how The Mystical Elf would be a source of comfort for him. The two of them look so cute together!
By the way I got the crazy notion of doing a Dark Magician/Dark Magician Girl fic. If anyone wants me to do it, leave a review, and if you have an idea for the fic, don't hesitate to leave it either.
