Aang was heartbroken. The one he loved the most, had gone off and married his best friend. Yes, Katara had gone and married Zuko. Aang, upon hearing this, had gone into a state of depression. He had always imagined a happy life with Katara. Sokka had tried several times to cheer up Aang, but nothing worked. The next person to try was none other than Toph herself.
"Hey Twinkle toes! You still depressed over Katara?" Asked Toph
"Yeah."
"Well then, let's get you changed."
"What for?"
"We are going on a date."
"What? A date?"
"Yes a date. We are going to get your mind off of Sugar Queen." So with little protest Toph got Aang changed and ready for their date.
"Now you wait here while I go get dressed." When Toph came out she looked beautiful! She wore a dark green kimono and for a change her hair was left down and brushed. Aang stared at her in Ah.
"You okay there Twinkle Toes? I feel like you're staring at me."
"Oh yeah! Sorry, you just look really pretty Toph."
"Thanks! Let's get going."
Their whole date consisted of dinner, a movie, and a festival. They had a wonderful time and with every passing minute they felt themselves falling deeper and deeper in their own kind of love.
"I had a great time Aang. Thanks for agreeing to the date. I hope it made you happy."
"Yeah it did and I had a great time! Maybe we should do it again sometime?"
"Yeah, totally! Well, goodnight Aang."
"Oh and Toph? One more thing." He ran up to her and kissed her lips. "I love you."
"I love you too." She whispered as he walked away.
