She'd had enough.
Pleasing everyone.
Everyone but herself.
They seemed to call out to her.
Pill after pill.
Her head finally throbbing with a disturbing pleasure.
The wine tilting in its glass, its owner gradually giving into her drowsiness.
The memories of the last two years going over in over time in her mind.
The failures of love and being spoken out.
The night she realized none of her family really wanted her there.
Replaying the looks of disappointment from her own parent's every day.
The drops of red wine staining the perfectly white carpet.
Following the drops, a waterfall of the red substance.
The elegant crystal cut glass freefalling to the ground, smashing on impact.
Her eyes fluttering closed, her ears picking up the sound of banging.
Desperate calls of her name vibrating though the wooden barrier.
The howls of her puppy, as if he knew what were going on.
The signal of an ambulance ringing through her ears.
Thumping. Sounding like gunshots.
Yelling. Her face wet with her lovers tears.
Her fate in the hands of god.
Her loved ones sat impenitently just a few steps away from her.
All regretting the abandonment they seem to realize they've given her.
Hours of rushing in and out.
Cups and cups of coffee.
Hopes brought to the max as the nurse makes an appearance.
With the news everybody had been apprehensive about.
The news that would either kill or delight.
Smiles split to the faces. Sighs of relief.
"She's going to be fine"
Five fine words. Fine words grandpa said.
Anything to do with that girl was fine.
Christmas Day dawned to be fine.
