Upstairs Lorelai and Chris were in the bedroom. Bodies intertwined with each others, their eyes staying in contact with one another's. Enjoying each other presence, after a round of loving making. A thud comes from downstairs, both Lorelai and Chris lock eyes with one another in shock.
''What the hell was that?'' Chris asks.
''I don't know?'' Lorelai says, slowing watching Chris as he gets up from the bed.
''Sounds like someone is in the house! Did we lock the front door? Chris say blankly looking up at Lorelai.
" I don't know. Let me go check. It could be Rory." Lorelai says, getting up from bed, and putting on her robe. After leaning in to Chris, giving him a quick kiss, before leaving and heading downstairs.
Rory shuts the front door, placing her coat on the coat rack. "Hey mom!" she smiles, giving her mom a hug.
''Hey kid wha...what are you doing here? I thought you went back to Yale." Lorelai puzzled at her daughter presence.
"Oh well I was at Yale. I was hanging with some friends, then after they left, I got a phone call from Logan. After hanging up I felt sort of lonely and wanted to hang with someone. So I picked some food, and decided why not have a movie night! Doesn't that sound like fun?" Rory says smiling.
''Oh! Well yeah sure you can stay here!'' Lorelai say "Awesome! So whose car is that in the driveway?'' Rory asks, peeping out the window, looking at the red convertible with the top down ''Oh. Umm that's Chris' car!'' she nervously says.
''Chris? As in my father Chris?" Lorelai nods. "What is my father doing here? In our house?" Rory asks in a stern voice.
''Well...'' Lorelai begins to explain but Rory cutes her off.
"Where is he?" Rory yells.
"He's upstairs." Lorelai says shocked at her daughter sudden change in mood.
"Why is he...Oh God...You weren't with him?" Rory mumbles, trying to comprehend what is happening.
''We just went on a date. We had a great I invited him in, We didn't expect you to come home tonight! So he was going..IS going to sleep over tonight. Is that fine with you?" Lorelai asks raising her voice.
"Whatever. I'm just going to be in my room! You know where to find me!" she yells stomping to her room and slamming the door.
Lorelai follows quickly, opening the door fiercely. "HEY! What is your problem!" she yells.
"Nothing! Its just dads here and your with him! You go have fun, I'll make myself scarce.
What are you talking about? Since when have we not included you? Come on why don't you join us, we have Chris stay and have a movie night. More people more fun!" Lorelai say trying to makes things better. She hated when her and Rory would fight. Especially since it was over the stupidest things.
''No that's ok! You go back up with him'' ''No Honey, I don't want you be uncomfortable!"
''I'm not, it's fine.'' Rory smiles.
"Well I'm going to get dressed, then grab Chris" Lorelai says as she get up from Rory's bed. "You go and pick out a movie." she smiles as she sees her daughter's eye light up with glee.
''Ok'' Rory says and goes into the living room. Grabbing a bag full of movie as she searches for one.
Lorelai runs upstairs, throwing on some sweats. "Come on get dress! Rory's here! Movie night!" she squeal jumping with joy, moving towards the stairs.
Chris smiles at Lorelai's reaction and pulls his jeans and t-shirt on. "Hey wait up!" he yells following Lorelai downstairs.
They both get settled down on the couch, junk food sprawled out everywhere. Rory looks up at her mom and dad, as Chris feeds Lorelai a gummy bear. They were so cute together! Rory only wishes that she had a normal family, where parents are married and have a few kids. But she was happy to settle with two crazy parents, never married, and her as the only kid!
