My Omen to You
It could've happened any day
I left you standing alone becoming more and more vulnerable
There was nothing to prevent it
No it wasn't your fault
I know because I got held up and couldn't escape
But now that it's over I'll never live in peace no more
Looking around at those who mourn your death as well
Makes me feel like killing myself
But I know there are easier ways to be with you again
I can't bring you back to life
For you had your chance to live, but death chose you
However, knowing how much you truly mean to me
I can't seem to think of any other options
Slowly I walk back to my house and begin writing a small note
One that will signify my time is up
Sitting on my bed after I'm done I look at my sword with dried eyes
Yes it's time…and with one quick swipe
All my fears are gone
Though something doesn't feel right
I can see my body, and I still feel the pain
Lying there made me realize that you were with me the whole time
But I wanted to show you my true dedication
So what is it that you must do to get me to you?
My head continues to turn in a clockwise motion
My eyes are spinning around like balls of fire
All that is left to think about is whether or not I will be missed
Yes I did save the kingdom
But I failed to protect you
For you are truly my lives as a whole
You are what completed me
You are my omen
And I have succeeded my perilous journey to you
