Author's Note: This is my first ever story on Fanfiction. As it is my first, please give me a bit of leeway with it. Anyways, enough rambling. Enjoy!

CHAPTER I: Beginnings...
I woke up early that morning. It was 5:30am on June 20. Meaning it was my last day of school. But not only was it my last day, it my last day of the SENIOR YEAR of High School. As the beaming light rays of the sun blared through my window pane, I slowly began to open my eyes. I looked at the golden clock hanging on my wall, and at that moment, I popped out of bed. Faster and more swifty than a cheetah on steroids, I ran towards to my closet to put on the clothes I had picked out the day before. It was a simple outfit. A green-dyed leather tunic with a blue stripe going across the middle. Along with some khaki-brown shorts. I looked into my " mirror". Technically it was just a couple of glass blocks, but it functioned the same exact way. I carefully fixed up my messy, spikey red-orange hair and looked into my own emerald-green eyes. I looked pretty good if I do say so myself. I ran quickly, albeit carefully, down the stairs, through the family room, and into the kitchen. I opened the chest and grabbed a nice, fresh apple, which was what I ate for breakfast almost daily. I caught sight of my mother, organizing things as usual. My mother had my same color shade of hair, but it was longer and straighter, reaching her shoulders. I greeted her with a " Good Morning!" But she seemed to caught up in her cleaning to even notice anything. I just brushed it off, as I was used to this. I grabbed my backpack and ran towards the railing outside of my village. The various villagers greeted me, but I was to busy running to greet back. You see, the railing was for the Schoolcarts. These were our ways of transportation to school if we didn't feel like walking. You could also horseback or ride on your pig, but most student just preferred the cart. The cart had finally arrived, and I was more than ready to hop on and face this day head on!
Author's Note: Ridiculously short I know. I swear to you that my writing is not as sucky as what you just read. I just wanted to give everyone a quick demo of this story before I get started for real! I just really wanted to put something up on the site. So I hope you enjoyed. I swear to you, from here on out, there will be nothing but improvement.
