I look deep into her ice blue eyes. Her eyes have always been very intense; they describe every emotion and inner most feeling she is feeling. Although she is nearly a head shorter than myself, she has never acted as small as she looks. She stares into my eyes as I am amazed by the beauty of hers. I hear rain outside, and the gloominess of it is the perfect environment for the staring game that we play sometimes. Somehow, as much as I love to observe her eyes, she has always beaten me. I can feel my eyes begin to water, but hers are of course dry. I fight the urge to blink, and I can see her mouth curl into a sly smile. Her mouth begins to open, but she stops from speaking. She knows that if she speaks, that could distract her from not blinking. All of the sudden, I hear the door to our office bang open. Skinner stands there, looking from my face to hers, wondering why our eyes hadn't even flickered. Her face is completely serious, and I can feel the urge to laugh, for this is the trap she always gets me in. The next move she does always destroys my concentration; the rise of her infamous eyebrow. I clench my mouth shut, but I know she can see the laughter in my eyes that's itching to escape. Her eyes start to water like mine, and I can see her begin to tremble with laughter. I try to avoid giggling, and then I realize that she's laughing to make me laugh. I clench my jaw even harder, and I manage to make my blank expression. Suddenly, she bursts out laughing, and I know I have finally won our staring contest. Holding in that laughter was almost to much to bear, and I'm laughing just as hard as she is. Skinner looks at us, a confused expression on his face. He shakes his head as she tells him what we were doing. I smile as Skinner tells us that he's forgotten what on Earth he came down for. She tells me that this is the only time that I will ever win. Sometimes when I look in a mirror, and I try to make the face she couldn't stand laughing at. Now I know what my new strategy is to beat her.
