"I don't think I want this anymore"
As she drops the ring to the floor

It happened again. He screamed, she cried. He pushed, she fell. And as much as she lied to herself, she couldn´t live like this any longer. This is not what she deserves. Not this. So now, instead of crying, she told him that this is it. It´s over. So over. She slid the wedding ring of her finger and took the car keys.

This time you will stay gone , thats for sure"

This time, she decides, she won´t be coming back. They don´t have any children, so that won´t be problem. And she can live with her brothers for a while. Until she won´t find anything else. Anything, because everything will be better than this, than him. She took the most necessarily things and left him. Without turning back.

She dragged her suitcase down the path
To the driveway
She had never gone that far

Suddenly, as she left their house, she felt something that was missing in her life. Freedom. And she was determined to have it back. She didn´t want to return to him anymore, after those beatings and scenes, she didn´t love him anyway.

Normally this would be
The time that she
Would let him talk her out of leaving

And he came after her, he screamed how he loves her, and how he is sorry, he screamed empty words that she heard million times before. And she doesn´t care. She´s not coming back.

But this time, without crying
As she got into her car
She said

No..
Happily never after
That just ain't for me Because finally
I know, I deserve better, after all

I'll never let another teardrop fall

As she drove away she starts to smile
Realized she hadn't for a while
No destination, she drove for miles
Wonderin' why she stayed in such denial

Exactly one month after her escape he found her. He screamed at her, and she screamed back. He kicked her, she kicked him back. He was kicking her and punching her until she stared to bleed. Her right hand was broken, and she was bruised all over her body. She was defenceless, until she spotted a shiny knife. She took it and with her left hand, she stabbed him three times.

He was taken to the hospital, she told the police exactly what happend, and he went to the prison. Forever. And she finally thought „Happily ever after".
