The air is musty and compact, and I can't help but cringe in agitation. Goosebumps pepper across my forearms in a matter of seconds.

"I was thinking," my brother casually started from behind the steering wheel beside me. "You hear me?"

I grunted in reply.

Shoving my face closer to the foggy window, I hide my unhappy frown and grunted again.

"At least you're alive." he muttered under his breath.

I glanced over my shoulder and distantly scoffed. "It's a shame, isn't it?"

Dean's face fell, and his knuckles turned white at the deathly grip. The shadows beneath his eyes got darker. And his shoulders tensed up, causing a icy blanket of tension to fall over us.
