Have you seen a broken man?

He walks with hunched shoulders,

Armed with determination, skill and strength,

Haunted with finding the pieces of the puzzle, that is his past

You'll rarely see him smile,

And if you do, it shall quickly change its course from happiness to epiphanies.

Stare into his face and you'll see a man, far older,

Stare into his eyes, you'll see darkness and a colder

Shell of a soul, a hero, a savior,

The help to all, against unspeakable evil, he is God's true son,

Two little boys, linger here and there, and ride in the back of his precious friend,

Ah! If only someone had shown him the damage he'd done!

Have you seen a broken man?

He looks nothing like you and me,

His beautiful face, his wicked loyalty,

His eyes, and his laughter,

His skill,

How exactly is he broken, you ask?

Only if you've picked up a shattered glass way too many times,

Dragged into a vicious circle, which no option of life,

When you've tried to hold a family together , with all your might.

When you've begged and begged and hoped to die,

in the place of a friend, father or brother.

When you feel unworthy and have displeased

yet another, close to you,

Ah! He's broken just like that, too!

Have you seen a broken man?

He's the wisest of them all,

But he's made a few mistakes,

That have haunted him every day,in every way.

He thinks things through, though he doubts himself,

He holds his head high, he's mightier than the rest.

He fears his darkness, his goodness, and

his spirit- similar to his father.

He's adamant and impulsive,

His love for his brother - unwavering.

His loyalty to his father- contentious.

He was not meant for that rugged chain of slavery,

He wanted to flee, and so he did.

The loss of a beloved, the blood and the gore,

dragged him back to everything,

he'd ran and hid from ,

Ah! If only he'd realised from the beginning that's where he was meant to be.
