Some nights she remembers him.
No, most nights she remembers him.
She remembers his beautiful sea green eyes.
Some nights she wakes up in his husband's comforting arms.
His bright sky blue eyes teary and bitter as he looks at her.
He misses the girl he loved no still loves and that wasn't Annabeth.
He was there for her and she was there for him, so it seemed right to stay together.
Right?
Wrong.
Some nights she wakes up and look at her husband his blonde hair should be black, his skin should be tanner, and his eyes- his eyes they should be sea green.
His isn't him.
Some nights she gets up and walks not knowing or caring where.
He never complains though he just comes to get her at the cemetery.
Some times he brings flowers with him to put on her grave.
He sits the flowers down and looks at the grave in front of him.
It has fresh flowers on it and he smiles knowing who they were from their friend the repair boy.
She sees him running his hands on the head stone of his love tears on his face like hers.
This isn't how it was supposed to be she thinks.
She was supposed to marry the sea green-eyed boy.
He was supposed to marry the kaleidoscope eyed girl.
Some mornings Annabeth wakes up and looks up and the head stone in tears as she reads.

Son, brother, friend, and hero.
